Nobody is invisible.. Follow the money , and show up at the door.

Doesn't work like that with BIG corporations though.

Big corporations are, in respect to this discussion, faceless and unaccountable.

Sure there is the CEO and/or the other directors pulling the strings, but even if the CEO, or all of the directors decided to quit, they would just be replaced (by a large money making corporation) and business would continue as usual.

:thumbsup Most people are either assuming paypal is wrong or the guy is wrong , when that isn't the point nor do we have any proof to make that decision. Paypal gets to use, spend, lend, and gain interest on all the money the "hold" for any reason.

There needs to be a third party arbitrator "ANY" account suspension that the user cannot access the funds. Any funds in question will be instantly transferred in full to a third party account that paypal or the user cannot access. Interest accrued on such funds would be paid back to the person the arbitrator decides.

Sure it does.. Everyone has a name everyone has a house. Show up, you would be suprised just how quick things happen.

Heres a good example. I once showed up at my bank managers home ( after being told several times by my account manager that certain charges could not be avoided ) to complain about charges to my account. Suprise suprise, he phoned back in 5 minutes and had every service charge removed from my account. Perhaps it was my demeaner , perhaps it was my mode of transportation .. i got the problem solved.

Its easy for a nameless person to tell another nameless person "NO" its not so hard in person...

Never understood why so many people waste their vaulable time doing that. Just write it off and move on. Its business and not every dollar gets collected. That's the game we play.

So true, but then WE wouldn't have any morning comedy.

I agree paypal needs to get sorted.

Actually come to think of it....

About 5 years ago I had a billing problem with one of the largest telecoms there was at the time.

Long story short - by their error, I was overbilled about 20x what I should have been... it was about a $5000 bill or something and they weren't trying to hear my end of it... they thought they had a valid bill & were going to collect it.

So I tracked down the CEO & left him a quick telephone message at his home saying something to the effect of... "Hi Mr X, I noticed that you're the CEO of XYZ... I've been having a problem with my bill that none of your CS or billing reps care to understand, so I thought I would call you personally and see if you could be of assistance...."

His legal team called me back asking me to explain the problem to them, and they had the whole thing squashed within an hour, and asking me nicely to please not call Mr. X at his residence again.

So yeah, I suppose on a case by case basis you can solve problems by tracking down whoever is currently in charge.

But I know that people are still getting fucked over to this day by telecoms the same way I was - so a lot of good it did in the end eh?

One of the biggest misconceptions believed by most people.

The consumers control everything, and make the companies accountable.

If consumers stop consuming a company's product the company will cease to exist.

I have been using PayPal for years, and never had an issue.

The guy in the mp3 broke their rules and then got pissed when his actions were questioned.

If I was clearing as much cash as PayPal on a daily basis I would keep a close eye on everyone and ask questions after an account was limited.

Lol, funny call, I like the paypay representatives response at the very end when the guy tells him to look for it on his site and he reponds with "I can't wait".
