I was pointing out that if you start such a nonsense thread with such a ridiculous assertion, then you should expect appropriate responses.

You seem to be saying that the date you registered to post on GFY is an indication of your experience in the business. Thats plain since you assert that newly registered members here dont have "a say" in the discussions here.

So I asked if maybe you expected newly registered posters to post screenshots of stats or something to prove they should "have a say". I said it sarcastically to point out how ridiculous the thread is.

Then I made a joke with an equally ridiculous assertion that posting smilies is what qualifies you to have "a say in things".

Then I gave you some valuable advice; you should think of it as opportunities to post replies and get sig views. If you used your head, you'd see that if indeed some *are* newbies, you might get yourself some affiliate joins.

That´s a thing called "freedom of speech". If this board was using those rules suggested above, there wouldn´t be a board. So if you are not interested in a posting, just ignore it.

Second one is being a webmaster doesn´t start or end with a membership on this board.

The number of postings can mean a lot. First of all it could mean that the boardmember is very important and his opinion is requested very often.

On the other hand it could mean that the boardmember has a huge amount of sparetime. This sparetime could be explained by the fact that the boardmember is a very important guy who needn´t work any longer.

But on the other hand it could be explained by the circumstances that this guy just hasn´t enough work to do and is forced to spend his time with more or less useless postings.

So it seems as a matter of fact to me that neither the date of registration nor the number of postings draws to the conclusion that the boardmember is an honest, reliable and successful businessman.

I know I'm a newb and I don't have anything to say in this conversation, BUT...

I agree with Oracle Porn in some aspects of his statement, but you can't make blind judgement on everyone.

I've been in this biz for 5+ years and CumOnHerFace and FacialCash have done very well and have held their own in the Facial Niche. In over 5 years I've learned plenty that I could talk about regarding content production, affiliates, and paysites in general.

But, there are parts of the industry I haven't worked in and I don't try to talk about things I don't know about. I'm new to the boards and to networking in the area, but that's because we have done very well without really being active in the adult community. But after 5 years we realize that we are missing out on another part of the biz that will help us grow even bigger, so I am now becoming more involved and creating new business relationships.

But I agree with you on most newb's that come online and start posting threads that have no revelence to this business. It makes it hard to find things that are important and useful to the rest of us who are really here to conduct business.

I expect it will take years for me to have a high post count, because I don't plan on making irrelevent post to clutter the boards.
