You said she has a trust issue. Out of anyone here, I think KRL would come out on top as the most truthworethy person to sell a domain to. He could show her his history in buying large domains such as men.com. And if he is willing to fly out there, or send a private jet for her, don't you think she'd understand that he means business and knows what he's doing.

If he tells her he bought men.com for $1.3 M, then she probably won't sell him hotpics.com for $15k or $20k. ;-)

I wouldn't use KRL on principle at this point, even if I thought his method would work, which it wouldn't.

Why he thinks I would make such a public post and not follow through on my $25k offer is beyond me. It would be the equivalent of domain suicide, and no one would ever sell me a domain again.

I doubt the asking price for men.com was 1.3 M, so I'm sure KRL knows how to barter for a domain. I still think he'd be the man for the job.

However, DomBuyer, you think you know what will work and what won't work for this lady. If you aren't comfortable using a 3rd party trust account so I can do the deal instantly in person, and everyone will get paid at the closing, then that's not my style.

wouldn't it be funny if this was his master plan! :) get countless ppl to bombard her with $10-$15 offers so he can swoop in once and for all and give her peace of mind and $25k. LOL. just kidding... but after chatting with DomBuyer, I believe he would only start a thread like this because he doesn't want to deal with her personally anymore and perhaps exhausted all options. I've experienced this before with some domain owners that give you a price and when you meet their demands, they change their minds... back & forth, etc or keep raising the price, even though you've agreed several times and spent months getting to know them, meeting them, wining & dining, etc... makes it no longer worth my time...

But sometimes it comes down to the owner not truly wanting to part with the name because it holds sentimental value... which seems like the case here. there are a few approaches to take, but too morbid for me... if it truly did belong to her son who passed away, she may never let go of the domain, because she hasn't learned to let go of him yet. :2 cents:
