7 pages and we are still mos away from the Webmaster EVENT OF THE CENTURY
I love the hype as Flava Flav says YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH BUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY! |
I can't believe the 7 pages either.
Wait until the threads start about giving away passes from the sponsors. This year, sponsors will benefit from the long wait until the Ball. We haven't even started yet. |

And for me, to give that extra recognition with a platform that's being seen is a simple thrill in itself. The hard part is creating the credibility of my platform in making things like this an honor to receive. These days it's about taking a good event and spotlight the players that make this business more solid and fun at the same time. That's the mission behind the "Players" Ball since day 1. So much love to Sweet T, who started off as one of the boys with his adult sites and evolved into the largest adult industry hosting company with a solid reputation for great service and the biggest clients in the industry. That's the most impressive part to me, Sweet T jumped into another area and dominated it. Much love T. |

If you would like to add me to a list, then great....
if I am not important enough in your eyes , then so be it ! Vegas is not lacking on things to do for sure... and women are everywhere in that town.:2 cents: it was a good time last year ( I as well did not like the c2K experience the year before) no one gave me a pass,( in fact KB, Adam, and Jstyles all ignored me when I asked them to get me in.) and I still made it up to the top floor. Passes are always good , ( but players always find a way if they want to go) :) I hope this event kicks ass for you D-Money , you are a good guy, and time is due for your return.:2 cents: |

My man! See, you get it. Some people prefer to just get their feelings hurt and others just hit up some of their other players for passes. What happened with the "lack of D$ passes issued" is, I sold the whole venue to the sponsors, so they have the authority to let people in their private rooms or give passes with access to THEIR private areas. When we had C2K, we had 5000 people, so if I had an extra big stack to take care of the people I felt should be in those areas, I had the ability to hook them up. Then when I moved to a smaller venue, passes are now limited. In summary, I'm just another sponsor of this event with a limited amount of passes like the rest of the sponsors. I have about 3000 people I know well enough in this industry that EXPECT me to hook them up with passes. Seriously, that's a pretty accurate number. Over the years of hooking up thousands of webmasters, they still think I can just give passes and VIP like it means nothing. But what happened is, everyone inside the club is now a VIP and I decided to put ALL of the passes in the hands of the sponsors, proportionately to their money contributions. I have 50 passes total, and my private VIP area might not exist at all, since I'm selling those areas to others. So I can't give people VIP to Mensniche's suite, I can just say, "look for Darren from Mensniche, he has a private suite with passes". Anyway, JoesHo, thanks for not taking any offense to me not hooking you up during the event. It doesn't mean I don't want to, just kind of powerless I guess. Didn't mean to write a book about it in this post. It's just I need to start letting people know early so their feelings don't get hurt that night. The good news for people is, IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO SECURE A SPONSORED AREA FOR CHEAP darren at marketingfirm .com Anyway a final thought that kind of ticks me off with some webmasters is this... I've hooked webmasters up for years, to the point that they just expect to be hooked up. If I keep doing that, who's gonna pay for these events? That's why I give the passes to sponsors, they pay for it, they get the passes. So for those who just expect to be VIP or hooked up, throw down a contribution and quit giving me shit. JoesHo understands and finds a way without getting upset with me, which is super cool. But there are hundreds, maybe thousands who don't understand who have false expectations. Then what happens is, those people decide at the last second to buy a package with passes, and I'm all sold out. |

yup, well said D$ and the young one need to know now, you get nothing for free in life... THAT IS JUST THE WAY IT IS :) :thumbsup again, man, you know I will be on the inside LOL and I think it is only right for the sponsors to have the best hook ups... I look forward to a great event, and thanks for throwing it . |

D-Money? 7 Pages?DAMN!
I was a little busy on a few other threads and worked some late nights last week, so I am just catching up on my reading today. Then I see the 7 page thread, from you? and man-o-man? I must confess I did not read all 7 pages, so maybe I was voted off the Island, but if not: Thanks so much for the love. I am proud to be in the company of those you listed and the others that were mentioned. I am also very proud to call you a friend and to be able to work with you on so many different projects and initiatives. You have an incredible marketing mind and ability. Most people know you from the Player?s Ball, but when you take off the green suit, put down the cane and go the ?mainstream marketing? route, well, it is very impressive. In a business where 3 years makes you a Veteran (I have 5 so far), you are the Super Vet for constantly reinventing the event and yourself. Keep your finger on the pulse and as always, lmk what you feel. Much Love and Respect? C |

Man, I want to frame that post and make it a poster. Thanks again for the continued support and also, thanks for being a major sponsor on the 2005 Players Ball. For those who don't know, maybe Chris included, Chris and Epoch have the entire private balcony and tables, same as their last years area. The difference this time is, they have the whole thing and all tables in it. It's the most private, best seating in the venue (next to the private suites). So what does this mean to GFY? Nothing. It just means you should continue doing business with Epoch and Epassporte because they at the top of their game and they will have B Real chillin' on their balcony with their guests. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Chris wins Pimp Of The Year since his growth rate is probably the fastest at the moment. I'm also going to announce the top 30 in the next week or so. We might make 2 top 30's. One based on their business models (perceived big boys) and the other based on their loyalty and contributions to the Players Ball over the years. Once again, this list is just another way to salute people, not to piss off those not listed. Everyone attending is considered a VIP player because someone is inviting you as their special guest. Everyone gets inside hassle free. Thanks again for the recognition Chris, means a ton coming from a "player" your size in this game. Those names I mentioned in my first post are a great start to that list, and the list will finish just as great. |
I must admit...
When Epassport came on the scene I was skeptical, infact I gave em alot of shit. I always been protective of this biz/industry. Not that it means anything but I am always shy of new companies on the scene, once they live 2 years and prove they are in for the game and ready to make the plays... Fuck, what can I say as an individual seeing the game come together... I admit to having short sites and only see the long term. Epassport is long term. I was wrong in a biz where its hard to see whats right.:glugglug |
Did you decide to do 51 players on the deck of cards or would you break them down?
|
D-Money,
I have been more or a lurker than a poster over the last year learning the biz. I am very interested in sponsoring the Players Ball in January get in touch with me at sparadise * runbox.com for either our swingers site or pharma site. See ya in Vegas! |

I have to say very few show the semblance of professionalism and respect that your quote did- What a true testimonial when it comes from a person of your stature Chris. I know we know each other in passing- and have heard about each other through mutual friends and such- but I have to say this post shows me that you are the down to earth, great guy- people talk of- I have never heard a bad word about you, and that's a true testimonial in this business. Chris you seem to be a gentleman and true scholar- my hat is off to you for seeing the "goodness" in my brother. See, I love my brother and it's not because he is just blood- D is a great, big hearted guy- and many people already know this. Me on the other hand, I am an arrogant twat :-)) LOL |

The thing I pride myself on is, the Players Ball has launched many "new" programs that become tomorrows big boys. If you want to make a big splash and make friends fast, these Players Ball passes will be the real deal hook up in January. Don't get me wrong, they're successfull because they're good at marketing, we just gave that little extra assistance at the right time. We're the only event that gets hyped 12 months out of the year. We're more then 3 months out and there's a buzz going around. I also think that we get better at teaching our sponsors how to maximize their exposure by actively marketing this event with us. In the earlier days, the sponsors sat back and watched me do the posting on boards and giveaways. The past few years, we've been lucky to have active sponsors sending out newsletters and links mixed with posts on boards which benefits all of the sponsors. We've got lot's of annoucements coming up and lot's of new traditions being launched. As The Players Ball makes its move into going mainstream soon, I'm realistic knowing that it's our private industry adult webmaster Players Balls that attract these media and press people. Huge thanks again to our current sponsors - Mensniche, NATS software, Epassporte, IwantU, Pussycash, Josh JW and more to be named later. |

The exact quote was " arrogant twat" and yes...I love my brother- he is not only my brother and best friend- I just happen to think that Darren ( yes that's my brother D$'s real name) is the biggest diplomat in this business hands down. You may have noticed my brother and I are a LOT alike when it comes to personality, sense of humor, and business accumen We just have different styles...always have. Ever since we first started cold calling and knocked on every single door in Cleveland and San Diego it was evident he as the the "good looking quiet one" and I was the "talker" It has always been a killer combo- sometimes that is a very good thing. and sometimes it makes you want to smack the ever loving shit out of your sibling.... :Graucho I LOVE PAYCOM- Hotel Heiress.com loves PAYCOM Too $hort Loves PAYCOM PAYCOM rocks to the planet rock...don't stop. |
D-Money,
Drop me an icq 200188732 as I have the hookup for the customized cards not cheap but quality. Great idea for the Players Ball definately something that can become a tradition so to speak. If you need the help in getting it nailed down I have done it in the past and would be happy to help. Nuff said |
V_RocKs fucker... 2006 I will be the only MAIN sponsor who is a private party!
It is time for a free shit/TGP owner to fuckin step up to the plate and hit it out of tha park! |
BTW, if anyone is countin, Chris Mallick is tha shit no matter how you weigh it!
