OK James Listen Up...The rest of you guys too.
Buying a model a plane ticket is a very very bad idea. Mostly because of a federal law called "The Mann Act" which SPECIFICLLY makes it illegal to "transport a person across state lines for an immoral purpose". Thats the exact words and few could argue that porn is immoral. With the expected crackdowns on porn this WILL be one of the laws the feds will use against us. Be smart. I have found when dealing with girls on OMP it's far better to make them come to you and offer them 200 or so more than you normally pay...It weeds out the trash like the one you experienced. |
Mr South,
SIR! I have always held you in the highest respect. You gave that same advice to a mutual friend of ours named Zack. However, I did not fly her across any state lines, she's in Houston, I am in Austin, both in Texas. But you raise a good point. My point is the model was trying to scam from the gitgo. She's an OMP princess who's trying to run game. Some of us are trying to make a living here, and the shitstirrer from down under ain't helping any. I would not have gotten so mad if the model had refunded my money for the plane tocket she used like an honorable businessperson would have. But then all these pretend photogs posted that I was a predator with a camera on a site I can't post on. So I posted here where she is not smart enough to post on. Bullshit, you take sombodies money under false pretenses, and don't do the job, then refuse to pay back the money it's fraud in the State Of Texas. As for the comment that I am a so called photographer, here is another of my so called images. Mr South, thank you for posting on my thread, you made my day. Say hi to Dirty Bob for me. For some reason I remember that the other day someone was trying to get us to vote on a girl on that same site. Where you have to register with an e-mail address.
I think I smell a scam. :2 cents: |

seems kinda weird if you ask me. most models in the biz show up to work in comfortable clothes w/o make-up anyway. i can't believe anyone would expect a model to show up in a tight sexy outfit with hair done, especially just getting off a plane. voting for someone else in a bikini contest isn't even "getting even" if you ask me |

I could care less what she wore, but she could have at least worn clean clothes that were not ripped. Folks it's a job, mickey d's would have sent her home. I hired a person for a job, I expected them to show up ready to do that job. That's the bottom line. After a week of emails, you would thgink... Ah hell, Mary D splain them for me what it's like. James |
Its not easy finding good reliable talent and when i hear story's like this it reinforces the practice we started 4 years ago. We never prepay air fare, we don't shoot with so called boyfriends/ managers/ agents tagging along. We will meet them before the shoot but trying to shoot while some no it all is distracting the model has happened too many times in the past to be funny.
In the last year we have hired or tried to hire from many web sites that purport to be managers or agency's, i won't post names ( yet ) but the last 3 we tried, who had some excellent models didn't even have the business acumen to reply to our offers of work. These models are cute enough to work almost daily but with this sort of management i doubt they work one day a month ? Anyway it might be an idea to make up some sort of document / contract setting out your requirements payments and expectations then get them to sign it. Should they hesitate or refuse then its safe to say they have no intention of shooting with you. Good luck with your next shoot !!! . |
Guys,
I am no newbie, I had over a hundred fifty emails from this wanna be over the course of a week before I sent a dime. The only reason I did was cause I did not want her getting raped in a bus station. She said she was bringing her mom, she brought some punk who got in my face. Maybe slapping her out of a bikini contest is not much, but that's all I want. I'll let Karhma do do the rest. James |

No, this was a total scam. Had she said she was bring boy, I do mean biy, I never would have sprung the visa card. But when I get described as a predator with a camera, instead of a poor working smuchk trying to pay his rent. that's when I go off. When will talent learn? This one won't last 6 months. James |
James I'm going to vote one time because its a very compeling story. You could vote hundreds of times if you used a proxie (or a dial up connection, voted (with a new hotmail account each time), cleared your cookies, and got a new proxie or ended your dial up connection and made a new one.
www.stayinvisible.com is a good place for proxies. Fuck that hoe. P.S. I was sold when you told me about the thuggy guy. |

Not all OMP models are a bad deal, I do have to admit that some treat it as a business, and do a good job. This is Liz Ashley OMP #39811. She contacted me "Wanting to Work." I paid for her plane ticket from Houston, she showed up on time, I picked her up at the airport, she was freshly showered, and put her make up on as I drove to the location to shoot. She was pleasant to work with. When I took her to lunch she ordered the cheapest thing on the menu. That night, I put her up in a nice motel suite, and in the morning, she was ready to go on time, and we shot again. I paid her in cash at the end of the shoot as I took her to the Airport, and she signed a release without making a fuss. That's the way the business is supposed to work. Unfortunately she does not do Adult Content Work, or Adult Video. But I wanted her to be the Main attraction for a new site I am building, and she did an excellent job for me there. She was also nice enough to let me video tape the photo shoot in the park for a documentary DVD that I made of what it's like to do a real photo shoot. The DVD makes you feel like you are actually there at a photo shoot, as it combines the stills in the video so you can appreciate the process of what it takes to do a photo shoot. If any of you guys starting off want to watch a real photo shoot, hit me up, and I'll sell you a copy at a GFY Discount. BTW Liz is one of the bravest models I have ever worked with, she posed full nude in a public park in the middle of the city, in broad daylight, where anyone could have walked up on us. She never balked fussed or complained. So yes there are some good ones out there, but few and far between. BTW Misty is now way in the lead, Thank You Folks. J. |
Dude, you write too much!!

James Their are lots of good models and many great models we just tend to hear more about the bad ones. I shoot 15 to 30 models each month and the flake factor is less than 1 %. I may just be lucky ? |
I drove a rusted out '78 Camaro for years because I was spending my money on art. Everything went to stuff like film and printing. I had a couple of people over the years try to make me feel bad about my ride. Any model who can't afford to front the $ to get to a shoot and then shows up late and acts like she is too good to get in your car, whatever it is, when you are nice enough to give her a lift . . . well, I voted.
|
So I'll write less and post more pics.
Thanks for letting me vent folks, and Thanks for helping. J. |
I voted for the hot ass red head. your "talent" only has 20 votes, must not have any friends.

since when is a 170 mile bus ride from houston to austin so horrifically dangerous that u have to overpay for a plane ticket ?(southwest flies b/w those cities for ~$80 round trip)
maybe la grange is the new most dangerous place in america and i'm not sure why you wuold put her up in a $200/nite hotel either, there's only a cuople in austin that charge that much anyway so that's living the high life in austin i smell bs |

What is the prize for winning btw? I could fix it every month if its good.

There's BS alright. The model wanted the $200 a night room at the Omni, (she insisted on it) because she wanted to shoot out at the pool. It's the biggest rooftop pool in Austin.
I was willing to pay for the room becuase I was going to make her the main attraction for my new site, and she was willing to shoot for two days for $200 bucks, as long as she got usage of the stills and video for her new site. So far, win/win. but when she said take a bus to Austin, she's a little bitty thing and rather naive. I felt sorry for her, and sprung for the plane ticket. Then it turns out, she has the $$$ to bring the loser along. Had I known she was bringing along a loser who answered her every question, I just would have passed. Had she asked for a plane ticket for mom, I would have done that. She did neither. It was a scam from the start, I've talked to the other photogs she did shoot with, and she had no intention of shooting with me in the first place. I even know what photographer put her up to it. I'll settle for seeing her come in third in the bikini contest. James |
so who paid for the loser's plane ticket?
lemme guess, u sprung for that too |
jeez, so lemme get this straight?
you let your models tell you where you will shoot them? and u really think ur gonna shoot porn at the fuckin omni pool. gimme a break |
Ahh uchase the shit stirrer. I thought you said you knew the so called model? I thought you said you'd bring her here? You said she'd tell her side of the story!
She won't post here, and she won't post her side of the story because if she did and told the truth, she's have to admit to commiting Fraud. james |
sitr
No, loser was a total surprise, I never heard of him until he showed up whispering with the guy from the plane they wanted to bring to the shoot. As for the Omni pool, we were going to shoot bikini stuff out there. I do shoot stuff besides adult. In fact I have shot about five hundred bikini contests. The bikini stuff would have been used in the free part of the site, and my portfolio. J. |
man, the shit runs deep
so she could only afford a bus ticket, but the b/f had enough to fly lol |

sitr,
the shit does indeed run deep. The story I was told by email and on the phone was one thing. The ragmuffin with the loser who showed up at the airport was another. I would not bitch if it was a misunderstanding. It was a scam. J. |

I'm in Austin lets have a beer. Its kinda boring watching georgia beat the fuck out of LSU.

still more bs.
so where was the scam? the model set-up an account at omp and her boyfriend paid for his n flight to get you to pay for the bitch to get to austin and have you pay for the hotel? omfg :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
I'd like to ask a question of those of you who shoot....
I have been offered jobs modeling, and I feel uncomfortable if I am not given "permission" to bring along a chaperone, which typically is my husband. He doesn't interfere, and usually stays within earshot, but out of view.....but unless the prospective photographer can give me very reliable credentials, I certainly couldn't say it feels safe to go meet a stranger and shoot. How do you expect a model to ensure her own safety without a chaperone? I'm not talking about this particular incident that started this thread, but I mean in general.... There is no way my husband will allow me to go to a shoot without him. He's not trying to interfere...he knows I will not do anything he wouldn't give me his blessings for...but he wants me safe. Sometimes it's a drag...I've lost a few jobs because of it; but I am very aware of the dark side of humanity, and I do not want to put myself in a situation that could easily turn me into a victim. |
