Actually in Germany it's quite common. Many companies/people only register hyphenated domain. I really don't know why but that's the way it is.

We were once sued by a company with a very generic name and they only registered the hyphenated domain, we had the non-hyphenated domain. We went through two instances and won in both... in the end they paid a very good price for the domain on top of about $30K in legal fees :)

Well, which came first, the chicken or the egg? I'm not really sure but I think it's because companies used hyphens from the very beginning, so people got used to it. That's why we always register the hyphenated and non-hyphenated version of important domains.

Terry, if you are going to make your $15k back within 6 months, thus earning on average $2.5 k per month on this particular name that gets 200 type ins per day, then you are a true genius.

I rather think it will take you AT LEAST two years.

To pay it off in 6 months it would have to make approximately $83/day.

I'm know very little about traffic, but I've heard type-in SE traffic is some of the best obviously. So if he used a PPS program and could convert 1:50 and make $30-$50 per sale he's making more than what's needed to break even in 6 months.

I have no knowledge about the domain game or traffic game per se so I don't know if it can be done or not. This is just the breakdown in numbers.

IF IT'S YOU (I never talked to you.. did I.. therefore how can you say I did anything wrong?!) You went thru one of my brokers who said that you were going to test the traffic and then decide in four-five days if you were going to buy it or not. They got me buyers who wanted to pay for it right away, my full asking price... Therefore I had no choice but to accept the offer, I can't abuse my brokers and end up not paying them because I come back on my word that I'd sell for sure at $15k. You could have got it if you made any commitment to buy it, you didn't... sorry.

By the way I always honor what I say. I accepted Terry's $15k offer, and respected it even if I've got $20k offers right after. Money wasn't sent, and if I had been selfish and unprofessionnal, I would have pulled out and sold it for $20k.
