A lot of the time, his traffic is not worth the band width bill. But there are other days, where you are kicking your self wishing you could get that listing every day.

As promised here is the end result.
Didn't get one sale although the click ratio to second page was pretty good, about 50%.

I had one link on the gallery to sponsor, and 3 to movie samples. As you can see i didn't get much clicks to sponsor so i probably put to much attention to the movie samples.

Fuck the second page - your click through ratio to the first page was TERRIBLE. I mean really, really bad. Either the sponsor's stats are totally fucked or you need to do some serious tweaking to your galleries and learn how to get clicks.

May as well add for newbies confused - don't think that a free listing can ever come close to a paid listing. The two are totally different beasts and the advertising in paid spots can be FAR more aggressive. Worth mentioning as stats from both are mixed and matched a bit in this thread :)

I think you misunderstand the situation. You certainly can get thousands of hits to your gallery and that is what this guy probably did but he only got 295 hits to the sponsor from his gallery and even that figure is unimportant - the important figure is the one to the right of the dollar sign

I would like to see the gallery...but from what I can see from your stats...your hits to the sponsor is way below what it should be.
The last gallery I had listed on thehun a couple weeks ago got me 873 hits to the tour and 268 to the join page.
So what you need to work on I think is making the surfer want to click through to that tour...

Thats what I'm thinking. We get people all the time within our program that get galleries listed there, and while I wont discuss their accounts in detail, I will say they do very well. Sam conversion rate, just more traffic, a lot more!

First you say you only had 1 sponsor link. Now you show us a gallery with 3 links?!

The Hun would never accept a gallery with 3 links to the sponsor and NO return recip unless it was a paid listing.

If you had those 3 links up you'd have had more clicks than 295.

Either way your gallery skills sucks and you should be happy because you used their free host and didn't waste your money on BW.

I did promote only one sponsor bro and thehun doesn't require a recip, also for free listings, read the webmaster page on thehun.net.
Anyway, the gallery is still on his page, check it out.

recip is no needed and 3 links to sponsor are not a problem, you cant have aggresive marketing(huge text, banners, etc) if you want to get free listing, thats all

WE had a hun listing on Sunday, traffic was through the roof as always...50gb. Sales were ok the first day, but the rest of the week has been awesome! This was only our 2nd hun lising, and it was pretty much the same last time. The first day sales are fair, but not great but the rest of the week kicks ass. I think the resson for this is because the server slows down a bit from all the traffic on the first day of listing, so pages aren't loading as quickly hence making the site less attractive. But once the initial traffic slows down, sales pick way up!!
We just got a new server for advertising only, so hopefully this will make a difference but I still couldn't be happier with the huns traffic! Sales are way up for Monday, Tuesday and today already and since December has been a great month anyway 2004 is gonna go out with a bang!! We added a new payment option and it's already a record revenue month and even though I haven't gone through all the numbers yet it looks like it may be a record sales month too.
