In it's default configuration, most download managers will work fine
with Strongbox most of the time. There is a setting that can be
set so that most any download manager will work. It's a little more
secure to have the setting at it's default, though, which requires them
to browse the site with the same browser that they logged in with.

Yes, your feeds will work fine. For some feeds on some sites, it is necesary to change
the link to the feed slightly if the feed provider a) uses very poor referer based security and
b) doesn't allow for you to link from different subdomains.

I use both strongbox and throttlebox. They've already saved me more in bandwidth than the cost of the products. :thumbsup

someone from strongbox please get ahold of me .. I have some questions .. thanks .. :)

Jake, I sent you an ICQ message but didn't reach you.
THe phone number on our web site, 1-979-530-1300, rings at the office, my home,
and my cell, so I can be reached there almost any time. One rare exception will
be this afternoon because I'll be on site at Merill Lynch setting up a system for their
traders, so I won't be able to talk on the phone much. Of course we can also always
be reached via email at [email protected] .

I am new around here and I?d like to know something about strongbox. So, it is a security system that works with some media devices in windows. My question is if it works with Win DVD player and if there?s necessary to use it with this DVD player, the only DVD player on my PC. Help me out please. :helpme

I have a client who is currently using ProxyPass on an old Apache 1.3 setup.

Does Strongbox's apache module have support for transparent pass through with the new Apache 2.2 series authn_dbd modules, or would it need to use a hacked up mod_auth_mysql? (I'm not interested in a collection of Perl scripts, nor am I interested in supporting them. :thumbsup)

Strongbox replaces mod_auth_mysql and other authentication modules.

Strongbox is not itself a DRM system, but it does work fine with popular DRM services/systems, such as EZDRM.com What Strongbox does is prevent many people from using the same password, and prevents people from guessing passwords. Only after passwords have been secured by Strongbox does it make sense to require the passwords to play the videos. Does that make sense?

Please contact us for more information ([email protected]) about the Apache module vs. the scripts that are used along with the module. Thanks!

No Shame Spam: I have a StrongBox tip on my Blog, which is about finding and stopping small or very new password leaks before StrongBox has a chance to do it for you. Staying on top of even the smallest leaks will save you money on bw, leased feeds bw, and stolen content.

strongboxxx kicks ass! I have been using it for 2+ years now.
