This interview is great, its seems like you had a life full of trills and came a long way ;)

I have a few questions tho:

- Till when do you plan to work in this industry?

- What are your life goals attm?

- Are you looking into expand your bussiness into other markets anytime soon?

- How many SE traffic you get per day (lol j/k ;) eh )

Nice interview BD. You're a true hustler.

1) Are their as many wannabe bikers as their are wannabe gangstas? How do you spot one?

2) Having hustled throughout your entire life to get anything and everything you have today, are you more empathetic toward people that are born poor or does it give you more reason to detest them for not being able to accomplish what you have accomplished? Or a bit of both?

3) What is your definition of success? Do you consider yourself to be successful?

4) Do the majority of bikers fit into the dumb, violent, drunken white trash stereotype Hollywood depicts them as? Does this depiction bother you?

5) Finally a biz related question. Where do you see yourself in this biz a year or two from now? Where do you want to be in this biz?

Oh, and don't forget about my previous question from page 1 :)

Probably until it stops being fun.

Well, at my age I don't really plan too far in the future, so I would say my immediate goals are to visit Europe in the spring, get back to Sturgis this August, and launch two new AVS's before I leave for Europe.

Yes.

I don't know. I had to get out of the habit of constantly watching my stats because I don't get enough work done when I do.

JenC 03-03-2005 08:39 AM

Really awesome interview baddog.....you are truly one of the veterans in the biz. :thumbsup

When I started posting on message boards, baddog and I would frequently "debate" (not fight) as we had lots of differences of opinions sometimes. I would always respect him and his intelligent debates even though I think he's full of shit! :winkwink:

Baddog is one of the alliances in this business that you can be proud knowing. He's never fucked anyone over and he's honest straight down the line. Great interview Lloyd! :thumbsup

Yes, we used to call them sidewalk commandos. They can usually be spotted with a H-D t-shirt, and a chain attached to their wallet. As my daughter always says, don't call them bikers until you have seen them ride. :thumbsup

I don't judge people by their material possessions, I judge them by the people they are. I don't accept poverty as an excuse for being an idiot, just like I don't feel wealth gives you the right to be an idiot.

As far as I am concerned, my greatest accomplishments are how my kids turned out. For the last 10 years or so I have been confident that one day my name will appear in the encyclopedia, but not for what I have done, but because my daughter will be famous and I will be noted as being her father.

3) What is your definition of success? Do you consider yourself to be successful?
Pretty deep question. I guess success to me is being able to hold my head high, having true friends that would be willing to die with me, being self sufficient, knowing that even if you don't like me you can't say I ever did you wrong. Hearing from clients telling me how much they appreciate what I have done for them, having them refer other business to me, having people trust me. And of course, having children that I can be proud of, knowing that they are succeeding. So yeah, I would consider myself a success.

4) Do the majority of bikers fit into the dumb, violent, drunken white trash stereotype Hollywood depicts them as? Does this depiction bother you?
You should visit Sturgis, S.D. the first week of August sometime. See what it is like when you get 500,000+ bikers in one place. I think it would really surprise you.

Bikers that I have met include brain surgeons, lawyers, doctors, cops, jewelers, stock brokers.

Put it this way. I may wear a suit that costs a few hundred dollars, but when I get on my bike, I can be wearing close to $1,000 in clothing. Harleys these days can be worth over $50,000. I don't think "white trash" can really afford that lifestyle.

Does it bother me that Hollywood portrays us as thugs? No. Ladies love outlaws, and it keeps the idiots at a respectable distance away from me (most of the time).

5) Finally a biz related question. Where do you see yourself in this biz a year or two from now? Where do you want to be in this biz?
Well, currently I provide the following services to webmasters:

Affiliate program - Sex Pictures Pass AVS

Content - ContentShopper.com

SEO/SEM - AdultSEM

Advertising - PimpsPromo.com

Traffic - T3Report

I also pimp a third party processor and a video editing service.

I see a couple more services that I can provide, and plans are in motion to fill them. I want to be known as the guy that can provide whatever service you need to help you make money.

Oh, and don't forget about my previous question from page 1 :)
I saw two questions you asked, and I believe I answered them to the best of my ability without risking arrest. :)

Contrary to popular belief, not all bikers know each other. I know at least 10 guys named Bear, and 5 or 6 named Scooter :winkwink:

What JenC failed to mention was that as part of the agreement to enter business with her was that she had to publicly agree with me, even if she thought I was full of shit.

It is written into the contract. :1orglaugh

A buddy of mine has to ship some bikes from Switzerland, and we have some mutual friends in Germany. The Germans are not too far from Amsterdam, so those will be our primary goals . . . although if we can squeeze in Ireland that would be great . . . . but it may have to wait . . . I don't know that I can take that much time off.

TDavid 03-04-2005 08:54 AM

Very interesting ambush interview! Ahhh, the days of 69spot, I remember those days. It seems they kept that board as their main board, right on.

And yeah, I was kind of surprised when they made SYM the main board.

Sounds like a deal . . . you may have even seen my buddy's house. On 138, pretty much on the top of Pacheco Pass there is a pretty nice restaurant (sorry, don't recall name, but it is pretty big). It is on the north side of the highway.

If you look directly across the road you will see what looks like the top of a castle nestled in the trees. That is his place.

Now you are making me date myself . . . probably closer to 1971 the last time I discussed Preston Petty. I have a Hodaka in the shed that I think I have Preston Petty fenders on.

They used to be quite the rage.

You still have a Hodaka? hehe - that would be great! I wish I had my old wombat.

Are the fenders the indestructible bright yellow mudders? :)

Very faded orange . . . it has been so long ago, they may have been red at one time. And yeah, I still have a Hodaka Ace in a shed in the back. I was going to help my son rebuild it, but it never happened.
