I won't judge anyone else or tell anyone else what to do, but I do think being a kid is rough enough nowadays without laying unnecessary burdens on them. After all, one can always sell nonadult stuff like blueprints for birdfeeders or how-to booklets of various kinds. I'm 54 now, and I would NEVER have gotten into the adult biz while my daughter was still in school and had to face her classmates with questions about what her daddy does for a living. I'm in no way ashamed of what I do, but I think the adult business and any exposure to it is an adult matter and not for kids.

Why not make a few non-adult sites to cover? I did. I have a pile of non-adult sites, from web-design services to personal home pages, and I now actually make a bit of $$ from them e-vennnn. The adult part of my network is just that...a PART of my business, and nothing more. Kids don't have to know that it's 90% of the income, neither do moms. What I see in a lot of responses is that, were I to adopte the "solutions" I've heard, I would be keeping part of my life a secret and I'd be involving my kids in keeping the secret by either lying or being less than truthful with them, and I'd be involving them in the decption as well. Now, if there are any licensed therapists in the group, they'll be feeling a little bit of "Hmm, this almost sounds like a dysfunctional family like an alcoholic might have."

Actually this post is not funny.
My dad was really on to somthing. We see so many new people trying to get into this business on a daily basis thinking they are going to strike it rich. They dont realize the hard work it takes to make money in this business. How many fucking times do I see a thread titled... How much money do you people make? How much money can I expect to make? How long will it take for my TGP to hit 100k? Why am I not making any money with ARS, AP, etc...with my 500 daily visitors? There are so many leaches in this business it's pathetic!!! Out of all the new webmasters I see on this board...who are not cheaters like that ZipE, Bulldog guy...very few actually decided to work hard and make it in this business. Most drop out after a while when they realize it takes work. Of course they drop out after they did there share of hotlinking, image stealing, and lame board posting. Newbies!!!
