Looking for examples of what? There is no law against spam in Canada. Thus, even if charged in the US as a Canadian under the Canspam law or whatever, there is no grounds for 'extradition' as another poster wrongly implied. For an offence to be extraditable there would have to be a similar Canadian law that was being broken. This all falls under the Mutual Assistance Treaty between Canada and the US.

Yes, you can be prosecuted in the US, however 'extradition' would not apply in this case unless there was significant fraud involved (which is common among spam operations).

You are correct that Microsoft or anybody for that matter can sue you for any reason, spam or otherwise. You do not really need a reason to sue somebody. If you are Canadian and sued in the US and get a judgement against you, the US plaintiff can petition to a Canadian court to have the judgement enforced in Canada, this is quite common.

The point which I disagreed with you on was regarding the extradition, everything else you posted is accurate.

one thing most people in this biz dont do (on many levels) is that they dont think about the future (im talking 5-10 yrs down the line). if you think for now AND the future, you'll be okay (financially) for some time to come.

the future is too hard to predict, i prefer to think for the moment and capitalize on that

if you are on top of the moment, the future is really meaningless
