Its not about the pics, those arent mine, everybody can take those and everybody is doing so.
Its about the keywords and just the fact that i considered him a friend. That page is so simply to make, who does he copy and paste it and use the same words? Its lame.

And i said from the start it was something simple and no big deal.

Thanks for your link. I was going to steal those pics of Vida off Dugmor's site and rebrand them for my blog, but now I have the unbranded pics.

Ahh common man, I know it must suck to have a site ripped.. But I highly doubt Dugmor did it himself. Think about it.. He's always off doing this or that at some party or convention. I'm pretty sure he's not building his own pages these days I highly doubt he has the time.

It's very likely an employee that did this which doesn't make it any better but it could happen to any program.

Anyway, why should i wait if someone steals my page and give him the benefit of the doubt? What doubt is there. Just dont steal my fucking page be it big or not and i wont contact your host...its quite simple you know.

Actually it wasnt the pics it was voice recordings made by me and quantum-x and covered by a copyright notice clearly visible on my page :)

Because even in the strangest circumstances there are reasonable explanations.

Like lets just say like darkjedi it was an employee who simply made the page
as a mirror for your page and was going to contact you in the morning and ask you if you wanted a mirror for your site ( yes i know this obviously doesnt fit your scenario, but hallucinate with me for a sec here ) So you contact the host , and the only person on is some wierdo inbred moron who shuts the whole account off because he doesnt know what to do , and causes dugmor to lose thousand of dollars.

Granted this ISN'T the case , it could be , and why ruin someone's day for something trivial.. This thread is twice the damage contacting the host is PERSONALLY but not FINANCIALLY , and seeing as how he hurt you PERSONALLY and not FINANCIALLY , it seems fair enough

Youre quite right and i know in the end im wrong because the content isnt mine. But personally i see a difference between putting these pics up on a free page and stealing sponsor content or a photostudio content to use it on the hun but you dont have to agree with that :)

So let me get this straight... You are freaking because someone "stole" your template, yet you are using stolen images? And there is NO SUCH THING as "Public domain", those images are still copyrighted and you are still liable for using them, especially if you are profiting from them.

Actually from a legal standpoint, if there is no valid model release related to the photos, they DO belong to who is in them, and without a valid license agreement, anyone using the images can be sued not only for copyright infringement, but also using the person's image without permission, profiting from them (the person profiting from them can be sued for all the profit related to the use of the pictures, PLUS damages) and more.

I agree 100% about not being different from stealing from the Hun. It's still illegal. The only thing Franck has going for him is he is outside the US, otherwise the 2257 requirements associated with adult images alone would put him in jail for a long time. Definitely a bad thing for the industry in general.

Posting images to a forum can and may fall under "fair use" laws, depending on the context, and whether or not a tangible profit is made from the images. In your use of the images, it's evident that you are using them TO make a profit, not to contribute to a discussion or write an article about them.

Dear, pointing out that someone else may be infringing on copyrights doesn't mean that you doing it is any LESS wrong. I'm actually quite surprised, being that you are a content producer, that you would do that kind of thing. If you're willing to take the legal ramifications, so be it, but you are setting a bad example for the industry in general, as are all people who use such images in this way. Not bashing on you, just hoping that people won't just randomly follow your example. Who knows, the next pics you or someone else from here uses might be mine, or some other producer's content. It's pretty black and white, there are few shades of grey in copyright law.

No you share 100's or even 1000's of mp3's which is costing the music industry millions, maybe even billions every year. (from all the sharing combined ofcourse). I agree youre not making profit but youre making someone else lose a lot of money...
