I don't think Amp is stupid. Yes he makes himself look like a total tool on message boards, however, he is pretty good at design. For that, one needs some brains, so I don't think stupid is the word to define Amp. Tormented maybe, but not stupid. Lack of reason or some disability that limits self control might be more at fault but that doesn't always infer a limited intellect.
