There's something about this case that just hasn't sat well with me since i first heard about it. It makes no sense to be smuggling that much weed into bali. It's street value would be in the vacinity of 30-40 thousand australian dollars. Surely, it could only fetch a fraction of that amount in Indonesia. And then with all this talk of baggage handlers using flights between Brisbane and Sydney to transfer drugs, it sounds as though someone forgot to take the package from her luggage and she got caught in Bali with it.

It just doesn't make sense to me.

Now those people they're calling the "Bali 9", those idiots deserve the firing squad. Not for the offence they committed, but for being stupid enough to commit the in a place like Indonesia. Risk versus reward doesn't seem to factor into the minds of some of these people.

Yep exactly, the stupid thing is those Bali 9 at least some of them were recrutied in Brisbane city (1 hour from me) in a nightclub. One of them was paid $5000-10000 to fly to Indonsia to pickup a package which he thought was probably some substance that was going to be used to make drugs back in Australian. DUH it was Heroin. He said "I guess I should of checked what it was, not a smart thing to do I guess" Or something like that.
