I'd like to be the first person to PUBLICLY TELL AVN
To give Aly a raise
No one should have to endure this kind of punishment without being PAID.

Also if I may add-

FUCK AVN

REAL NUMBERS
CCBILL Purchased two pool side Cabanas at a cost or 5K a piece. That is 10K in sponsorship dollars. For that we got 8 passes. and ability to buy 8 more passes for $150.00 This is not a huge number of passes.

Realize CCbill/CCbillEU/Cavecreek/DRMnetworks have over 14 people coming and only 1 is female and that is my Sister. So we will spend North of 50K on Rooms/Travel/Sponsorships alone. That does not even include the Cristal bills in South Beach

MY PRIMARY REASON FOR WANTING TALENT running around is so that this does not happen.

The guys sit around most of the day at the pool drinking with no girls and they start saying hey lets go to South Beach tonight because there are no girls to TRY to hit on. Then the Evening Partys turn into a bust and my 12 Staff members do not have anyone to network and sell to.

Bradshaw is correct this is not about girls and partying but this is about keeping the right enviroment so people are happy and NETWORKING/BUSINESS can be done.

SOLUTION

Give females a choice an ALL ACCESS Badge for $300 or a Pink POOL LOBBY badge for free.

So AVN has to refund what 50 or 100 max badges for $30,000K That is nothing compared to damage the 5000 posts on this board will do when they talk about the FLORDIA SAUSAGE FEST. How many people will not come next year after hearing that??

.

Thats not true the NAB the biggest video trade show in the US charges its attendees nothing , the sponsors pay for the show. Besides a show floor it includes more classes then you could want.

This is far more complicated than it may appear so I'm not just going to throw out an- 'oh right, sorry, yes, we'll change that' to you.

The folks at Internext are very much aware of the appeal of pretty women (and pretty men for some) We've already implemented a solution to bring guests into the facilities in the evening as a response to this issue. With regards to day-time attractions, bring me a busload of 30 stunning women and we'll definitely talk... otherwise, we're still chewing on this but it is unlikely to be changed for this year; there'll definitely be something worked out for next year but with a few weeks to go before the show now it would be wholly unfair to start charging less for some when others have paid full-price. I, personally, will NOT support Internext doing that.

I do want to point out, also, that I (also personally) think you're blowing this out of proportion... there WILL be women at the event. Sponsors always receive free badges that many allocate to models... And hey, there are actually a few good looking women in the industry you know.

the blanket reply like calling an automated customer service line eh? :1orglaugh :winkwink:

Just don't get the way they are thinking we don't need them like the video side does/ we have shows like twice a month now. I always supported AVN I just don't understand why they won't bend on this.

Well it wouldn't have blown up if you didn't have a point and others didn't share the same thoughts and opinions or views. I have given up trying to understand it because you just go around in circles. All I have to say is that, this event better be worth it as it seems to me that a lot more is at stake here than just the loss of a few people that don't want to pay $300 to get in. It looks to me like we are talking maybe sponsorships for future events and even advertising revenues. It's a pity, hopefully someone is listening/reading and actually is "getting it." (Outside of Aly of course as she can only do so much)

LOL KB, you posting from your bro's 'puter again? Referring to post above mine ;)

Roger V

Maybe KB is right and AVN just does not care. I find that very hard to believe that when something is brought to your attention you don't listen to what your customerswant. I know that we do it all the time. I guess I should be happy it will only make the Phoenix Forum a stronger show if this show tanks. Sad

I am also really reconsidering whether we do a booth in January. It is not like nobody has not heard of CCbill. :( Hell there went there 30k in revenue right there

Ron, first and foremost if you really don't see a value in exhibiting in January I agree you shouldn't do so.

The assertion, however, that 'AVN just does not care'... based on the fact that Internext is unlikely to change it's pricing structure and refund money 3 weeks prior to the event, in order for female attendance to increase, seems very unfair.

I agree whole-heartedly that crowds of beautiful women (and men) will improve the overall atmosphere of the show, as does anybody in this office. The evening guest passes were implemented to help in that area, and the SilverCash Bikini contest should do so as well.

It would be excellent to come up with a great way of doing this next time around and I don't doubt they will, but that's how these things work Ron, and you know that. All those brilliant ideas/ feedback can be assessed, worked out and implemented for next time. I don't recall seeing a chocolate fountain at previous Phoenix Forums, or a cash-registerless 7Eleven for that matter... they're brilliant ideas that grew out of experience and change.

There may be many faults to find with AVN, and I want to hear them, but I want to hear them in order to implement positive change. I want to hear them because I see a value to the industry in making these products better. I encourage you to let time take it's course, to encourage positive change yourself, and to focus on how we can realistically make things better.

I appreciate any and all feedback you have. Thanks.

That was the most ingenious thing i have ever seen done for people at a show!

I meant to tell you when we were talking about your new boat at Cybernet, but I forgot. Then I meant to tell you again at our party at Martini Ranch, but you know how that goes. Glad to see you got taken care of there.

Anyhow, MUNCHIES SHACKS. MUNCHIES SHACKS FOLKS!

Aly that's a lame attempt at controlling the issue as presented in this thread thus far. AVN dropped the ball and got a little to greedy this time, bottom line. And to not listen to top advertisers and sponsors was a bad move on AVN's part, and I think most here will agree.

seeric 07-14-2005 07:51 PM

roger, i think you have a dvd player coming your way.

newbreed 07-14-2005 07:53 PM

edit - as a potential advertiser w/AVN, I got screwed hard a few weeks ago by your sales force. I promised myslef I would not speak out publicly about it, but in this case it's totally justified. AVN has little to no respect from me and my partners, many of whon are pretty big on the other side of your company. Expect to see no mney from us for a while, at least until honesty and opneness becomes a priority over there.

I really and genuinely don't think this is a lame attempt at anything. After every event all attendees and sponsors are emailed surveys asking for their feedback (if they put correct email addresses). Changes are made based on that feedback. If sponsors and ANY advertisers and, well anybody actually, has ideas or feedback it is now being listened to. Absolutely! But throwing that request in 3 weeks before the show is NOT realistic! It WILL be taken into account for the future.

newbreed 07-14-2005 07:56 PM

Aly seriously, one of your own lied out his teeth to me about some things, big things, and it was obvious a few hours later he was a liar. He cost me some cash, no doubt about it. But more importanly, he cost AVN some cash...

Bullshit, it takes a 2 minute phone call from you to the powers that be...

This is what the MASSES want, listen or don't, your companies future will reflect any decision made. I really feel for you in the position you are in, I really do.

Nor should you know, it's not your job according to you. You are responsible for Internext and avn feedback, not lying full of air employees. I don't even care anymore, doesn't even matter except to expose what a joke your company came of as when we tried to deal with them honestly and completly.

edit - it's not you Aly, it's AVN

Aly, there is no one in this thread that will believe for one minute that this situation can't be resolved. While I can appreciate a well thought out response to some very tough questions by unhappy potential advertisers, unhappy sponsors, and unhappy attendies. Maybe I can help you out. I'll say it all for you.

Dear concerned webmasters, program owners and sponsors.

ON THE RECORD this is not going to change. EVERYONE WILL HAVE TO PAY!

Yes the evening guest pass was implemented so people could pick up hookers at the club and bring them back to their rooms. ( what time do the evening guests get kicked out btw? 8am, 9am, noon??) But do not fear concessions will quietly be made for a few super heavy hitters. They know who they are :winkwink: :winkwink: So keep you advertising dollars flowing our way, and don't worry, those with advertising dollars will get the secret VIP treatment.

If you have feedback , click aly's sig.

i have to commend aly for being the most diplomatic and level thinking person on this entire board. she should be given a raise and the biggest office at avn's office. she is taking the heat from all angles. heat that has gasoline being dumped on it, and heat that is, at this moment in the history of the shows, under a microscope. aly, you are doing a great job and at least listening to what people have to say, and providing feedback to the higher ups. you officially have the hardest job in adult online in my opinion. not many others could sit there and take the abuse you have been taking. many would have snapped and probably setback the overall mission of your position over there. it's not your job to fix all the problems, but you are doing one hell of a job at listening and taking the beating. my hats off to you. you're a great person.

LOL you should run for office. Or better yet come work for me.

I know first hand what goes into a show of this size. I truly can say this because we had just as many people in Phoenix this year as this show will have. We are talking about 3 weeks.

What would really have to happen in 3 weeks.

1. You make an annoucement that all talent can come for free and all they need to do is go to the registration desk and get a badge

2. Anybody who has already paid please email us at [email protected] and we will process your refund.

3. Tell the registration Staff that Talent badges are free

4. Tell everyone that if you are caught with a talent badge and you are not talent you will be eject from the venue.

Even Ibill's employees could have made this happen in 3 weeks.

WOW

I have said my opinions now and I am sorry that I put you in such a hot seat.
I have all the respect in the world for you and I totally understand what it is like to have people yelling at you and not be able to make the call since you are not the owner. For that my Hat is off to you. I guess I just wanted to let AVN know it was not just Roger and a few no names on GFY asking for this.

I must really need to take a vacation. I am sure glad I am going fishing next week in Cabo on my New Boat:)

So this will be my last post my Dear. Hugs and Kiss till Miami

Look for a boat called On The Edge. It is parked right at the front of the main marina 3 slips down.

I wish I was there I would take you out fishing. When do you leave I arrive next Wed.

OKay, help me out here... define "talent"... can we go specifically for "bunnies and hares"?

Considering that show floor often isn't the hot spot at the miami show, can I ditch the badge and just get a "pink" badge? I suspect many people would be happy to just sit in the hotel all day all night and do nothing - not be part of the show floor, not go to seminars... just hanging out. Many people were "pink badging" the vegas show, just by not bothering to stand in line forever to get into the event.

Now, I think there might be something here. Perhaps for every 2 show badges purchased, you can get one pink badge for talent. So Ron, your 23 or 24 badges would also come with 12 talent badges.

I think that might solve many of the issues.

Thanks for the support Ron and everyone else.. You know I appriciate it.I really didn't expect it to take off like this but I guess alot of people had the same concerns or had other issues which have been ignored

Aly is a Sweet Heart we all know that.. she was given a position without any power which makes it difficult for her to make changes and which is not her fault at all.

If anyone can open AVN's eyes it's Aly I told her already if she couldn't I lost all faith in them.

The ball is in there court now and this will be my last post on this matter as well..

Aly I still love ya Darling

and Ron if she doesn't can I take the job offer :winkwink:

Since Avn doesn't care about chicks, CCBill should put on a webmaster event the same weekend this year too. You have 3 weeks to plan it and make it happen.
