Well, the bottom line is that after being treated like shit by iBill for so long, I'm using CCBill for a new program. Talk with your $$$...it's the only thing they'll understand. I sure wouldn't want my affiliates bad-mouthing me or my program cause I use a shitty 3rd party processor.

Nedder 01-30-2002 03:23 PM

still no stats, still no signups.

Well... I have quite a few revsharers in my program and I can assure you (as I can see my stats and get email notification everytime a signup goes thru) signups are going thru today like usual.

Nedder 01-30-2002 05:16 PM

I wonder if your revsharers are getting their cut. Only iBill knows since the CMI is down for days.

Nz

richard123 01-30-2002 05:25 PM

... and I thought it mighta been just me...

I did notice (before their interface went down) that totemcash sales made via ibill (2 of them) never appeared in the cmi. I know they were ibill since they didn't show up at ccbill. I know they were real sales since totemcash had tracked them in their interface.

:helpme I'm not looking 4ward to replacing my ibill sponsors. But maybe it's better to do it now rather than wait until serious money is lost. I think I'll dump teenflood to start with. Because they are unable to retain more than 1% of surfers, it seems. Or could it be the cmi??? Who knows? Who cares? :winkwink:

boneprone 01-30-2002 07:00 PM

still down!

WildWebAmateurs 01-30-2002 08:11 PM

Someone incorrectly posted that Mac and Bumble had stopped using iBill - that is incorrect. As the person who changes the billing scripts, we're mostly using iBill.

We've had some changes at Epoch that we're going to try some more but for the most part M&B is an iBill client.

This is what Nicole did tell me 2 days ago: "We have also given up on IBILL -- I have been complaining about them since we started using them - they're only benefit is that they pay on time."

As far as my English goes I conclude from this sentence that it's over with Ibill No more shit! No more cheating! No more problems!

ferenc 01-31-2002 07:06 AM

Hi,

My name is Laurent Vannini and I work for Totem Cash (VirtuaGirl and Stripsaver).

I would like to add a few things about what's happening right now with Ibill and the way we are going to handle it.

First, bad news: sorry to deceive you but we are not gonna "abandon" Ibill as one of our "processor/revshare prog" in the next couple of months: Our goal is to be able to send our checks without anybody else doing it for us but we need more time... and ibill has been there since 2 years now with Ups and Downs but mainly ups for us...

It does not mean we are not getting mad at what is going on. We switched to CCBILL for Virtuagirl as main biller by the beginning of this week (unfortunately, the day we switched CCBILL transaction page was broken... that's what we call "doomed" in France) and we WILL PAY WEBMASTERS on sales tracked on Totem Cash since the problem started if IBILL does not come up with a full recovery for that period. You can spread the word.

CCBILL will be added to our other products as soon as possible. and a long term solution will be implemented in the fist 6 months of 2002. Promise.

Sorry for my first Long post in that board. But the situation pushed me into the wolfs pit :) now you can eat my bones.

thanks for your patience

ferenc, "take the hammer and hit me... not too hard, please"

We briefly switched to Epoch and saw sales drop, and went back to iBill.

I personally think it's a CMI reporting issue - my last ACH was bigger than I expected (which is a pleasant surprise).

I'm sure someone said the same thing about those who were predicting ENRON's failure.

It will not be because of the "reporting" that could cause the demise of this company but from the effects that lack of reporting has on the thousands of small webmasters eeking out a living doing this.

I'm sure you are well aware this whole industry is based on trust between the sponsor and their affiliates....and that trust is violated in both directions time and time again which creates an air of paranoia and things like the ifriends fiasco makes situations like this seem much worse.

I for one have stopped promoting any sponsors that are using Ibill due to the fact that I can't tell if I'm burning bandwidth or making money.

A few sponsors I just signed up with in the last couple of weeks, and you know when promoting a new sponsor you need information about sales NOW so you can see whether your sales pitch is converting or not and change things accordingly.

So until I can see how well these sponsors are converting I will be pushing someone else.

Then, what would be your choice? Who are you trusting 100%? let me know and I contact them right away. websitebilling? netbilling?

SR 01-31-2002 08:51 AM

This is getting insane.
Their stats are down for over 48 hours now.
The fuckers.
How much longer wil Ibill survive?
They don't have a support center.
And if they have one they are sleeping for over a week.
They don't answer mail.
They never say what really is going on and how long it will take.
They fix one problem and the next problem shows up.

They might be the biggest and might have been the best but they better just admit that they can't handle it anymore.
They suck and they suck now for over 6months.

Weird that there are still people believing in them.

If they are this big they should have money to fix their problems.
If you are the biggest and the best and have alot of money to invest but keep having problems for over 6 months you are just a big sinking ship.

Phil21 01-31-2002 08:57 AM

Still down. yay.

Seriously.. how could a company this large have a fuckup this long? I guess I don't understand. Shrug. All I can see, is they don't give a fuck about the affiliates (which may or may not hurt them).

I don't think I matter, but my pittance of a couple signups are definitely going to another sponsor that doesn't use ibill. I just started with this one, and had high hopes.. Send about 10k hits to them from my out counts, but I have no way to confirm if I made any sales or not. So fuck it, time to send traffic and waste bandwidth elsewhere. I probably didn't even make enough (if anything) to get a check cut. ;)

So no Labret, I don't think I matter. But, even so I still refuse to use a sponsor that uses iBill. At least until they tell people what the fuck is going on, and list the ways they fixed things. (start by getting off the windows platform for one. They obviously can't make it work)

So, myself and probably hundreds of other smalltime affiliates that don't matter are leaving ibill. That has to add up to quite a chunk of change at the end of the month, don't you think?

*shrug*

RIPP 01-31-2002 09:22 AM

Ibill sucks... They have a policy of NEVER ADMIT MISTAKES/ERRORS it appears now.

Especially not to sponser affiliates... And only from what I have heard from some sponsers will they even admit to any major errors,(played down as minors) when they get serverely backed into a corner by a sponser.

I phoned up Ibill thinking a stats error for a line of 0's in my stats when sales had been made that day was an Ibill error.... (you'd think it eh [nice sarcastic tone])

It also did a line of 0's under TP Revenue ... TP Revenue is supposed to only have stats to it when a product is sold... Not memberships like porn site signups. (Btw once got everything fixed up I still get 0's and new fields on TP Rev. but atleast I also get the same signup data shown under the CC bit etc. now, and this does have sales $$'s now)

Ok... Back to story :)

Anyhow this is and was an Ibill fuckup so I phoned them to get it fixed... The guy I got 1st time said I need to get the Transaction and Subscription number for the signups from my sponser so they could check with their database and then to phone back,(btw ibill are the ones to send this data to my sponser.. sheeeshhh)... Anyhow I did this and then phoned back. I got this chick on the line the 2nd time and after much dicking about, bullshit and avoidance she agreed I had x number of sales and admitted that I had a line of 0's,(didn't admit Ibill at fault) and then had the fucking gaul to say it had to be fixed by my sponser... I mean WTF... Their stats program, their errors, it's right in front of THEIR FUCKING FACES... and still no admittance of liability and she sought to put the blame and the fix onto my sponser... Btw after asking in depth... What if my sponser says it's YOUR FUCKUP ALSO... "Then they'll have to contact their premium rep. to look into it" she replied.

Btw she also in conversion said Ibill had never had any problems like this or any other real problems AND denied that random password resetting bug Ibill have had for atleast the last 2 years where some poor bastard will randomly go to the Ibill site and login with their username and password only to be told to change their password, with no link in which to do it and no other options available to edit or view anything.

I mean WTF.

Ibill have even been losing Revshareid for some sites also, this can be completely random in nature ... Keep an eye on those secure Join pages... Do some random view sources.

If you don't see your data in Revshareid, just in a Ref1 or something then unless your sponser is right on top of ibill and hassling their asses out, then you may be losing some of your signups by the revshareid showing as empty and going into their database as a signup that did NOT come from an affiliate.

IBILL SUCK!!!!!!

We need more sponsers that give us control over who we have running as our primary cc processor.

I think most sponsers need to get their shit together, whether it's regular stats and signup errors,(IBILL), better protection from being hacked into & some join page errors,(CCBILL) being paid,(EPOCH) and am sure there are many other horror stories out their.

Get your shit together cc billers else it'll be :BangBang: to you all,(more sponsers are considering in house... I think a sponser shave would cost us less in revenue than some of these independant 3rd party billers do right now)!!

The 1st one to truly prove themselves AND give some decent feedback when errors/problems occur will dominate the industry in no time flat... Am sure of that.

Later, RIPP

>>This is getting insane.
Their stats are down for over 48 hours now. <<

They've been down alot longer than that. I've only been seeing rebills for over a week until the complete downage a few days ago. My sponsor tracked my signups for that week and NONE of them showed on iBill, I'm waiting for them to bring the CMI back up to see if I've been credited for any of them, but I doubt it.

Sounds like the only people defending them are their webmasters, not their revsharers. I'm already in the process of moving out all my banners/links pushing their programs. Yes they always did pay on time, but if they aren't tracking my valid sales, they are fucking with my livelihood.

ferenc,it's your program and for sure you know better what to do. In your case i would keep ibill since you seem satisfied over the years. I dont know how easy can it be for you to switch ibill with some other processors for a testing period and put ibill as secondary. Just a thought.

My recent dealings with Ibill concern the first week of December, when their system did not honor the customers' Loyalty Discount but charged full rebill price (causing a number of cancellations!), in which they admit the error was within their software. However, "Since our system does not allow partial refunds, our Tech Dept will need to advise me what options are available." was the last I heard of it (on Jan 16) from a support supervisor. So it now appears they are unable or unwilling to correct their error.

I am in the process of escalating my complaint to registered letters, on the advice of my attorney. He sees the possibility of a suit (maybe, class action) for the uncorrected overcharge by a sales representative that adversely affected business.

richard123 01-31-2002 10:19 PM

After the stats came back up, I see I have lost 7 sales (compared to the tracking at totemcash.com). God only knows about the rebills.
