random acts of kindness rock.

Jman 08-29-2005 06:56 AM

We should all try to be more kind to people in need, one day it might be you in need of a friend or something else.

Adam 08-29-2005 06:56 AM

That was really nice of you :) However... anyone with half a brain would NEVER walk for 10hrs with a 3-4. Never.

She could have called the police and they would have driven her home. Then they prolly would have told her to leave the fucking asshole she was with so maybe thats why she didn't use them.

EroticySteve 08-29-2005 07:17 AM

A couple people are giving Sleazy crap because he was a nice guy and mentioned it. Leave the man alone. You know what he should mention this and there is nothing wrong with it. He's probably not looking for any type of recognition but he's sharing an account of how he's helping to make the world a better place. Chances are that $40 for a cab ride was the greatest thing that's happened to her in a long time.
She'll probably remember it for a long time to come.

Go Sleazy, good job man.

DraX 08-29-2005 07:19 AM

she didnt even ask him anything, he asked her so probably legit :O

either way she deserves the money for either to help her out, or to reward her awesome begging skills.

nice move!

It is a great feeling to help someone who is in trouble. But it is very heavy on the heart as well.

My dad took into one of his apartment a gang member/excon. he helped him get off drugs, get a job and live a better life. That was 4 years ago and HE has lived a straight life!! He got married to another recovering addict and together they had a daughter. Savanah is 8 months Old & my parents godchild. 3 weeks ago He dropped dead of an asthma attack. After all he did to make a life for himself.

His wife went back to shooting up. My dad promised him he would never let his children go into the child welfare system so my parents with my help now have temporary custody of her...She is so innocent

Even though you feel so good saving a child, your heart is so heavy. My parents are in their 60's and never expected to be parents again.

mrthumbs 08-29-2005 07:58 AM

i give 20's to a homeless guys that ask me for a beers! Its a great feeling knowing you just contributed a tiny bit to his downfall.

Goes for you too.

EroticySteve 08-29-2005 08:06 AM

There are people out there who will take advantage of kindness, Well they'll get their own someday.

I remember one time I was in NYC on my way back out to Melville Long Island. I grabbed a pizza from a place that we always used to get Pizza from. On the way out of the door a skinny, kind of sickly woman, probably in her late 30's asked me for some money for food. She said that she and her kids are starving. She said, " My babies haven't eaten in days, I need to get them something to eat. Anything."

I offered her the Pizza. She took the pizza and threw it, she said. "I need damn money I'll buy my own damn food."

I shook my head and walked away.

Some people.

HpicAnn 08-29-2005 08:09 AM

Shaddam IV 08-29-2005 08:11 AM

Shaddam IV 08-29-2005 08:12 AM

Sleazy.... way to go!

Hey it does not matter if she was working you or not. You felt she was a person in need and you stepped up and helped out without asking for or expecting anything in return.

Helping people for the sake of helping has it's own rewards that some will never know.

HammerALL 08-29-2005 08:26 AM

Sleazy - that's great - paying it forward is the best way to go about things man - it is truely better feeling giving sometimes. Good Job :thumbsup

Pete-KT 08-29-2005 08:26 AM

What is the point of this thread other than the guy who started it wanting a few pats on the back? You don't mention your good deads to other people, that's how karma works. Trust me, I used to date a hippy.

tranza 08-29-2005 09:02 AM

She was walking for over 10 hours?

BradShaw 08-29-2005 09:02 AM

I would have at least asked for a BJ.
