Thats awsome Sleazy.
I can relate to that in a way. Me and a buddy of mine and his girlfriend walked into a krogers late one night. There was an old man, humble and quiet standing in the entrance. He handed me this note, it said that he was a deaf mute that could not find a job and wanted to know if he could get some money to help buy food for him and his wife. I stopped reading and looked at him, I could tell he wasnt faking it. I opened my wallet up and gave him a 5 dollar bill. He tried to thank me by nodding his head and smiled. I said your welcome and nodded back. |
read some comments - and you know what - even if she was a junkie (she didn't lookk like a junkie though) - what the fuck am I going to do with the money? Spend it on something stupid? I got a great feeling giving her that cash - and in the end - that's what counts - I got my money's worth. It's not up to me to make a decision on how she spends her money - me decison ended when i handed her the cash. After that how she spends it is up to her.

Which is what I feel was the point of this whole thread. It doesn't feel like a brag at all. |
Very sweet :thumbsup It feels great to help people!
|
I think it's pretty pathetic and sad that you need to brag about giving money to other people to feel good about yourself. Your self-esteem must be extremely low.

Hmm double post, accident hehe

I would have called the cab myself and given the cab driver the money to take her home.

We stopped helping people around here, because they will fuck you no matter what.
At X-mas last year, we gave all the guards at the community 20$. Dont sound like much?? Consider this. they make 85$ a week. This is Mexico! Anyway, in Jan we had to move, because the house we were in had stairs, and my wife was pregnant with a high risk, so she could not climb the stairs anymore. In the middle of the move, someone burglarized the house we were moving out of. they loaded up a bunch of stuff, got on my wifes bicycle, and rode it out the front gate past the guard. Who, saw nothing. the fucker was involved. FUCK PEOPLE! |

Funny.. I do this a lot.. usually with people who have broken down on the freeway or are at a gas station trying to fix their car.. Drive em to the auto parts place, put a deposit on the tools (usually a couple hundred bucks) and then drive back, fix the car and then drop the tools off... they are usually totally shocked.

You did the best mate!

hey no need for justifications...you felt good doing that for her...and it(probably) helped her....! It's all that matters!... There's a homeless guy begging at the streetcorner right next to my place...and somehow there are always some street musicians taking over his spot...they start playing and get all the attention, and the poor guy just stands there, desperatly looking at the street musicians, thinking he will never get any money since he has nothing to offer hehe..well every time I see him I give him 2-3$... and he always looks suprised...kinda wondering why I give money to him instead of the 3 guys playing violins/guitar etc.. like 2 feets from there... I guess I just like to root for the underdogs LOL... anyway...that was a nice gesture of you!... |
