We fucking invented the game. Here in Canada even old goofballs like me can tell you they played for over 20 years (and I was damn good in my day). My dad used to play for the CBC-Winnipeg team, I remember him scoring sometimes six goals a game.

Im rooting for the USA all the way, but damn I was rooting for Canada tonight. Hell half the team is my beloved Red Wings.

Cmon... Josheph sucked big time. This is clear to me in got in the team because of pressions, just like quinn beeing to coach when you have the best coach of all times availlable (Scotty Bowman). That team was really badly selected over pressions instead of talent. Patrick Roy, Jose Theodore and Martin Brodeur should have been the 3 goalies. No way Belfour and Josheph shouldnt have been in the team. No way Joshep should be #1... He played like a retard and prove once again that the olympics are pre arranged shit of politics and pressions. Josheph was jumping on the ice before the first move of the swedens at all time... Why Josheph not at the all star game? no need to explain..

Hartman -- As for the "We just did" comment, yes, but we'll see over the next 10 days now won't we.

You have no idea the depth of hockey in canada. Like on the street I grew up on for example, there was maybe 40 kids. Out of that, 30 of us actually played organized hockey for years, and ALL 40 kids got out 3 or 4 nights a week and played street hockey, even in the summertime. When I wasn't playing real hockey or street hockey I was likey found in my basement taking shots at a net with targets in the corners. And just about every other kid I knew was doing the same thing. As far as I know, that still holds true today with today's kids.

As I said, we'll see. Team Canada has some adjustments to make and it may take a few games. I can't wait for the Canada vs Czek republic game, I always like that matchup. And i wish the Swedes well in their upcoming games, as over the years they've always been another of my favorite teams in the Olympics and world championships.

Where the hell were guys like Sakic, Lindros, Yzerman, Lemieux in this game.. Maybe many of these oldtimers need more time to adjust to the european sized rinks.. They should have picked a few more of the younger stars for the team perhaps. Cujo was terrible too..

Time to check what those hockey "experts" (some stated sweden didn't stand a chance in this game), has to say now.

Ice hockey is the national winter sport in Sweden (and probably Canada too). They are both very good at it. I played hockey in Sweden as a kid, and all my friends did too. I know a couple of guys from my small town (Ornskoldsvik) that wen professional and played in Canada.

It's the best game. Too bad it's *never* on TV here in Australia!
