I laughed so hard I cried.



I played around with a chatroom bot one time to see what would happen. It didn't have AI but it has 15 or so actions each with 5 statements that run random. So I filled it up with qestions, answers, statements, etc and made sure each response would go with a conversation. So I plopped this sucker in a room I created and went to sleep. I checked the log when I got up to see some people had a full 45 minute conversation with this thing! I see how the can be useful to advertise. These people spent 45 minutes answering stupid questions and responding to comments.

Don't feel bad Space. Took me a little while to figure out the first time I got hit. But not that long. Bwahaaaahaaahaaahahaaa

Before there were spam bots, there were AI chatbots. People have been trying to write AI chatbots that would fool people since before you had a computer. A friend of mine is into AI pretty big... for pure entertainment value (non profit).


Try looking around at www.alicebot.org for one of the better engines...


After looking over that site I'd have to say its dead.. ??? Not sure how it could be considered the AI-BOT mecca.
