Don't know many women who have guns...pretty cool. I think everyone should have one, there would be much less crime. |

I don't know what's wrong with you youngins displaying and boasting. NEVER let anyone know you carry a weapon. Let them find out when it's too late to counter. NEVER tell someone what kind of weapon you carry. If I know the make, I know the range and drawbacks. NEVER tell someone where you carry your weapon. A good gunfighter can spot a concealed piece 50ft away. I shoot expert. I come from over 300 years in the Americas of a shootin' family. .38 bullets don't kill us, they piss us off. A gun is a tool/weapon for stopping, stopping now, stopping forever. You clean it, respect what it is and does and NEVER play around with it. It's not a toy, it's not an outfit accessory. It's a weapon/tool for killing something or someone. There are alot of insecure people who have guns because of any number of mental aberrations. Those are the ones to avoid. If you pull your gun out, you do so to kill a man, not to scare off or show off. Gun safety and responsibility are foremost and a sign of good citizenship and craftsmanship. Learn how to clean your weapons under less than optimum circumstances especially in low light. You never know. Again, guns are not for showing off. When you show them off you let your enemies know what to expect. Forewarned is fore-armed. |

Alot worse. Gun safety is a paramount issue with me. I've seen too many fools with guns. The old saying that a fool and his gun will soon be parted is true. Clean em', put em' in a safe place away from kids and drunk stupid relatives. |

But you cannot be more right about the fact that a lot of people think they can whip em out to scare people, or that the knowledge that they have one will deter someone from fucking with them. That is a cowardly way to think. Anyone who knows me knows that the gun does not come out unless I plan on pulling the trigger....period. |

...make you feel like a man ???
Do owning these guns, showing off and supposedly knowing how to use them make you all feel like REAL men(or women)? Sad :(
Why not have a "who has a biggest dick competition" as well ?? GUNS ARE BAD !!! They are designed to kill. Nothing else. Killing is bad! :disgust I. |
im waiting for franck to respond in this thread :D

Same as automobiles. Some people collect or admire cars because of the feel of driving them, the satisfaction of knowing all about them, the look and feel from an artistic view, and some guys have a cranked up engine so they can lay rubber because it makes them feel like a man. In either case one type should not be confused with the other. A car has several purposes, transportation, to facilitate the enjoyment of driving, and as a showpiece that says something about the owner. A gun has many purposes as well, killing something, to facilitate the enjoyment of target shooting, and as a showpiece that says something about the owner. whether something is "bad" or "good" should depend on the owners intention, not the object. To say "guns are bad", you may as well say "Cars are bad" since they can cause someones death as well (and do so more often than guns). |
guns are for pussies, I'll stick to my hattori hanzo sword... haaaaaya!

don't try explaining that logic to people like that. they don't fucking get it. and they won't fucking get it until themselves, or someone they know gets robbed, raped, or murdered by a criminal with an illegal gun. then, all too late, they will say "why wasn't i smart enough to take steps to protect myself and my family." |
(QUOTE) I totally agree with you. I do however enjoy guns on an artistic level also. like a vintage car, I like to look at them and share. I have them because I like the art of shooting, I shoot expert as well, and for me it's not about killing someone (although they can come in handy if you need to, but then again so can a vintage car, lol).
But you cannot be more right about the fact that a lot of people think they can whip em out to scare people, or that the knowledge that they have one will deter someone from fucking with them. That is a cowardly way to think. Anyone who knows me knows that the gun does not come out unless I plan on pulling the trigger....period. __________________ Ray "The Don" Vega (QUOTE) In some cases you are correct...For some people, it is a man thing. They feel tough because they have a gun. But for others, the skill of target shooting a handgun and knowing about them, the different models, the look and feel of them, tactical use, safety, training etc. is what they get off on. You can usually tell who "respects" the gun and who doesn't. Same as automobiles. Some people collect or admire cars because of the feel of driving them, the satisfaction of knowing all about them, the look and feel from an artistic view, and some guys have a cranked up engine so they can lay rubber because it makes them feel like a man. My lovely .357... I like best that I can shoot .38s out of it but it's built for the heavy feedback of the .357s so when you shoot the lesser .38s they kick is very little.
http://www.marktiarra.com/!tmp/ruger-gp100.jpg I'll have to get a pic of my modded SKS up later. It's fun. =] |
