Thailand rocks :thumbsup

I look forward to visiting there and i have no desire to have sex with anybody but my wife there. I've seen tons of pics and it's beautiful. I would also never shoot there as the money saved on models is just not worth the risk.

graphical x 10-28-2005 04:21 AM

Well at least they don't arrest you without asking any questions like in Vietnam or the Philippines. Those places are famous for sucking 'protection' money then 'something' comes up and you wake up in a rat cage like that scene from "Deer Hunter."

To all the guys shooting content in Southeast Asia, be very careful and come home in one piece. Thai, Viet, Filipino, or Khmer prison is not even on the same level as the worst shithole US prison.

MikeyFingaz 10-28-2005 04:47 AM

nm sig.... bump for those in thailand.

Jer 10-28-2005 07:24 AM

Bump!

If you want to shoot porn, come to Brazil. Our economy likes your money.

Dalai lama 10-28-2005 07:29 AM

Bump. I want to be sure that the content shooters who ever they are will read this thread.

HIV is rampant in Brazil. If I ever go there I'm keeping my cock where it belongs, in my hands in my hotel room :pimp

edit: 50 wanted pornographers

Not near as much as in Thailand. HIV rate among working women is 80-90%, depending on the area. And that quote came from one of the major travel guide publishers. There's not a chance I would hook up with a prosititute over there. Heck, I was dodging the bananas being shot out of the stripers' vaginas! (no joke).

As for shooting content: Never did it myself, but I've worked with photographers that did. Standard practice to carry extra bribe money to get out of trouble. Would suck to find the unbribably ones, though...

For the record, prostitution is technically illegal over there, but obviously not enforced.

latinasojourn 10-28-2005 08:26 AM

well, it's really just a matter of time.

i mean how long can a guy shooting this sort of stuff last over there:

http://asianstreetmeat.com/ etc, etc.

and not piss off just one girl.

and all it takes is one unhappy chick to change your world over there.

moral of the story:

don't shoot ANY hardcore at all in the kingdom, don't have any real sex, understand the thai calendar, and don't rough up the girls with all this "exploited" shit.

As a follow up, here's the statistics for HIV among the general population as published in the CIA World Factbook (the previous % was the prostitutes)

US: 0.6%
Brazil: 0.7%
Thailand: 1.5%

JimmiDean 10-28-2005 11:26 AM

Better bump this back up

The prostitution statistic was in a guide book. The general population one was in the Factbook. If you only read my last point, it did sound like it was the same source, but no... :)

DWB 10-28-2005 10:44 PM

They had a grip on HIV and new infections were way down for years. Now it is on a serious rise again. Yahoo news just had a story on it a few weeks ago.

DWB is this statement below correct ? I remember a while ago you saying that the high HIV rate in Thailand was because of the Thai brothels in the North of Thailand were thai men refuse to wear condoms when fucking the girls.

Whats the score with BKK and places like Phuket ?

Guys, my initial intention was to keep that information for myself, but after seeing this thread, I thought that I must write it here:
About a week ago photographer of my content provider from Thailand was arrested in his Bangkok hotel together with his Thai assistant. I hope this information will be helpful to ppl that working there right now, or planning to go.

RawAlex 10-29-2005 03:19 PM

Thailand is a very risky place to shoot porn. The girls are willing, the existance of open prostitution and take home strip clubs might make you think everything is okay, but it really isn't.

Good luck to anyone arrested over there. It's not a pretty place from the inside.

Alex

Gallardo 10-29-2005 03:35 PM

I also heard from my friends that it is heating in Thailand now and they call the staff back for a security reason.

Lee 10-29-2005 03:36 PM

I read an interesting article in The Times yesterday about a "silent war" going on in Southern Thailand so getting the train south may not be as good an idea if it goes near any region affected. Just an off topic heads up :)

RAM 10-30-2005 02:51 AM

:thumbsup good story

dunefield 10-30-2005 03:01 AM

so shooting porn in thailand is illegal?

thats pretty hardcore considering they have a massive red light district...

Sarah_Jayne 10-30-2005 03:18 AM

I wouldn't want to be an American in trouble in Thailand.

There's only one known porn producer in thailand who does content with all the hookers you can find in bangkok. He's the guy behind exploited teens asia, asian street meat etc.

There isn't much thai content around for sale or generally to be seen, so don't think it's a popular producer location.

Most guys shooting stuff are rather tourists and doing it for themselves.

Have you ever been to Thailand? Things don't work that way there.

If it's about sex tourism - the girls get into trouble and not the tourist if they're caught and have to pay off the cops.

If it's about asian street meat and other sites by the same producer (Nigel) - most girls the producer fucks are from clubs and want to keep their income instead of getting everybody arrested.

Beside that thai cops are corrupt, as long as they aren't forced to show some arrests.

The Ghost 10-30-2005 05:16 AM

I remember a big press release on AVN a couple months back how one of the major DVD companies was coming to Asia, and Thailand in particular to shoot some new Asian content. I believe it was TT Boy's company. I remember shaking my head at the press release the same way i'm shaking my head at this and knowing only disaster could come from it. Not too smart :2 cents:

cams2chat 10-30-2005 06:29 AM

I am based in Thailand and do not work from there at all. In Soi Cowboy 2 nights ago the police set up a drug testing unit....jujst testing some bar girls and door girls but have been known to test tourists.

Thaksin has announced cyber sex clean up, web sites clean up and I would not want to be caught shooting there at all.

you're high... i know people in BOTH countries that have rawdogged hundreds of whores, and have never gotten anything... these numbers are fabricated by the bible thumpers and by people from countries who are powerless at stopping another country allowing prostitution....
