I think that happened 12.07.1980. Lennon was killed in frond of building called Dakota. It is near Central Park.

It was December 8th 1980. I was in Jr high school. 7th grade I think. My mother was crying when I got home. John Lennon was one of her favorites & growing up I've been accustomed to hearing the Beatles & John Lennon frequently. Particularly when visiting with my uncle who was an avid record collector, he had thousands of records from the 50s all the way to the present. I learned my appreciation for classic rock from him :)

in the 3rd grade ..... my Uncle was a teenager at the time and I remember him freaking out about it ... then watching the news forever that night....

I'll never forget watching people crying all around the house......

I was in moms womb.

I think me and my sis are unlucky , year my sister was born Elvies died and the year i was born Lennon was killed.

It is a distant memory but i do sort of remember running round the back of the Dakota building in New York with a gun....

Seriously i Am from Liverpool and remember all the fuss in the city as a kid and was 21 when he died

I was in 9th grade and remember hearing the news and it stopped me in my tracks.

I was more affected when I heard that Jerry Garcia died in the 90s. I was on my way to work and pulled over. I called a few friends and we all went to the beach that day, drove our cars onto an isolated area and jammed to the Dead the rest of the day.
