You have made the spelling and grammar for 30kPosterChild far too accurate for it to be realistic. |

Talking about saving face :1orglaugh |

Yea, yours. DO you wanna try and save your face more? Come on, go for it. Tell everyone how postcount doesnt mean anything to you. Tell everyone how you arent a GFY attention whore. Tell everyone how you never posted 'sigspot' in your life. You are better off buying a mask. Enjoy. |

Hmm. |
i'm over 10k but i'm not important
can i still be on the list? i'll bring packets of Mayo |
I didnt say i knew it was a joke. I said *I* was joking around. Not taking shit seriously was in general, not pertaining to you 'per se'.
|
Apparetly some of you are the type that need jokes splained to them. :1orglaugh

Even though the initial post was made jokingly, it raises the topic nonetheless that there ARE people on GFY who sadly think post counts actually mean something.

It works like this on the boards: #1: Personal experiences you and people you trust have with people count for the most in judging their character/reliability. #2: Then comes industry reputation (includes sites). The Hun carries more weight than RandomPerson123. #3: Then comes register date/post count. Someone who registered in 2001 is not very likely to be a complete newbie, and someone who has 10k posts made over the past few years is less likely to throw away his reputation and nick to scam you for a few bucks than someone who has made 10 posts over the past 2 days. Plus, post count allows you to see what a person has been up to. Post count and a long-lasting nick both make it less likely that someone will risk his reputation and that someone has skeletons in his closet. |
