Thanks but I really was a ass to Buddah when he tried to contact me before, so he had no choice but to take this public. When someone cheats me or worse charges back on me I lock their account and if they icq me I hit ignore user right away as I do not need the stress of dealing with people who are thieves. But recent events that I cannot go into detail about as I am under a contract and cannot disclose the details of, have led me to believe I banned a lot of innocent people. For this I apoligize and I will correct as soon as I can verify.

I'd say it's pretty standard, they're just letting you know that if a customer rings up to complain that they will not necessarily contact the merchant before refunding the transaction. I've used two processors and they've never referred an unhappy customer to me... just a quiet refund with a couple of words of explanation (if I'm lucky). It's probably better to refund an irate customer immediately than potentially trigger a chargeback.

Having said that, the other stuff in the MVC TOS seems a little more hairy...

The problem in this case is that it appears they (MVC) did the chargeback but both the merchant and the buyer were unaware of it, which caused the buyer (Buddah00) to make this wrongful accusation thread.

As today I received 5 chargebacks from Verotel from 2003.....
And can do nothing about it. If we, as you see it are not following the rules, please send a mail so we can correct. Do not shoot on sight....Please. We all can make mistakes.

Yeah but what am I supposed to do? When I see a chargeback should I let the guys orders continue? There's lots of wierd things going on here. I will say that I just came back from a meeting with my attorney and after the holidays she will be very busy.

It appears this wasn't a simple error. but rather a complex situtation that was not caused by the consumer or the merchant. Very interesting.

I'm glad to see you guys working together now to figure this whole thing out. And I for one hope to see an answer as to what happened to the money.
