got a picture of your house
and you're standin' by the door
it's black and white and faded
and it's looking pretty worn

You 80's hairband freaks should make it a point to download some Helix, good old Canadian metal.

Band history

Grab these songs:
"Screaming in the night"
"Stayed awake all night"
They did a nice cover of A Foot in Cold Water,
the song "Make me do (anything you want)"

Great stuff.

Man I hope so - People always look at me funny at the stop lights with me blaring my Warrent CD

Mr. Jim 12-23-2005 01:35 PM

Some people have attended my jam sessions in the past....

In 2006 I will be playing some limited engagements in the L.A. area most likely the Whiskey a Go Go and an accoustic gig at White Lotus on a Sunday....I do mostly 80's and some 90's stuff

I am not kidding when I say yo uare dead on with this... The Susnset strip is prime for a live music metal revival it may not be the same as it was in the 80's just like the 80's was not like it was in the 60's... but it is coming....

I have this car being restored as we speak ...seriously... whats the use in getting the band back together without the old 6.6... it should be done by fall or early Winter

I love 80's music, 80's hair, and 80's clothes.

That about sums it up. :winkwink:

Shit, a couple of those songs I mentioned above were actually Krokus tunes.

Both Helix and Krokus.... awesome bands, great tunes.

Krokus did "Screaming in the night" and "Stayed awake all night"

Helix's marquee tunes include:
Does A Fool Ever Learn
Heavy metal love
Rock you
Deep Cuts The Knife
Wild in the streets

neverlearn 12-23-2005 01:50 PM

all you need to know about the 80's are Pat Benatar, Def Leppard and Motley Crue

Flu 12-23-2005 04:12 PM

it'll be dance metal. just wait and see. bands are starting to come up that are classified as disco metal/ dance metal.

the jeans + boots Pat Benatar look annoys me.

ratt . la guns, guns n roses for LIFE!

my first concert was none other than the nuge himself.

I was heavy into the hair bands too, as well as alot of other 80's bands, but mostly the metal...
one of my favorites is Hanoi Rocks
Too bad Hanoi Rocks stopped making music when Motley Crues Vince Neil got into an accident & Hanoi's drummer Razzle was killed. Vince did some time for that.

Yngwie 12-23-2005 04:21 PM

still to this day 90% of the music I listen to is 80's hair metal.. I will never stop.

babz4u 12-23-2005 04:27 PM

So....
What bands were you into back then? If you were into my band it would be very embarassing but worth at least two points.
