I'm doing mine in old-school-kick-back-and-comfortable style. Here's an early pic, plants not out, art not up, and was taken late at night so the lighting and "backyard" not quite there. :)

Actually none, I watch my porn on the interweb! :1orglaugh

It's a wierd collection of action, sci-fi, drama, etc. Lots of movies with special effects, I'm into the technical side of things.

Seems high, but then again, I don't live there.

High? Really? An apartment like that here would be somewhere in the vicinity of $250k, and I'm in one of the cheaper areas of California.

Stacey_JoinRightNow 01-04-2006 01:31 AM

welcome in Czech Republic...

faxxaff 01-04-2006 06:21 AM

Real Estate prices in Prague are hillarious. Since it is Prague 9 and pretty far away from the center it is 140k, only. In the center you would pay 3 times as much, at least. Same goes for Budapest annd Warsaw. Incredible price increases over the past years PLUS a weak US$ make it very expensive.

Of course locals get much cheaper prices :-)
To cumis!

no fukin way?

if you could even find a plot of land here, say 40X100 ft the land would go for a minimum of $300k

Most of the apartments and a good part of land is still owned and controled by owner's associations that date back to communist times. The Czechs that live there or move in there can purchase the places for a couple of thousand Euro and then resell it for 100k Euro after renovation. Of course you have o know how to do it (bribes). It is next to impossible for a foreigner to do it.

pic I took from my place, the houses are not that big, but the complex has two swimming pools, tennis court, volleyball field etc

the houses also come with free peacocks on the side who start 'screaming' on top of their lungs at 5 am, 600 or so different insects, a scorpion or two, about 10 different species of spiders and many more extras ;)

Hit me up on the phone and we can go for a beer.

Brno is a lot cheaper than Prague and other than a little less nightlife not much difference. Plus the girls will come from Prague for work.

We only use or Prague apartment for castings.

I like the furniture from ikea, i went to ikea and didn't see anything like that. How much was it to furnish the whole place?

I like the look of the furniture, it looks real modern and futuristic. I am really obsessed with ikea, I gotta go back there today!
