No problem. I personally do not like to be scammed by anyone, let alone see others scammed as well.

Promo Chicks 01-05-2006 09:19 PM

The same thing came out at the same time last year. The first day of the show???

Spunky 01-05-2006 09:19 PM

I'm sure it is a simple misunderstanding blown out of proportion by the propaganda hounds

I remember that as well.. Can't remember who or when though... I remember that I went thru and checked all my sponsors at the time and they were ok.

Tom_PM 01-05-2006 09:22 PM

It was when CCBill first added the ability for affiliates to see the settings of the program(s) they were promoting. During a convention as coincidence has it in fact.

Zero does not mean unlimited. Unlimited means unlimited.

kektex 01-05-2006 10:05 PM

Thanks for the heads up man...I`m currently not promoting any of those sponsors but I`ll take a look at all my ccbill sponsors.
Good to see a shaving thread with actual proof hehe...

adultchica 01-05-2006 10:09 PM

Glad I've never promoted any of them. And I remember now why i NEVER PROMOTE ccbill only sponsors that don't have cascading billing. This is just another fucking reason.

Cheating webmasters on recurring billing is nothing short of MASSIVE FRAUD

Alex 01-05-2006 10:12 PM

See Sig.
We shave nothing. Paying 7.5/hr flat rate. With all rebills and shit.

rowan 01-05-2006 10:18 PM

That reminds me, time for my periodic check of sponsors. I'll report back here if I find anything interesting. :winkwink:

ccbill really do need to set up automatic notification so we don't have to keep checking through tens or hundreds of affiliate accounts.

modF 01-05-2006 10:33 PM

Oops, someone is getting caught with their pants down.

I'm not too upset over the 99 rebills, considering that's longer than any credit card I know of stays active, but the zero's, now that's fucked.

This is NOT true. Anyone with a CCBill affiliate account can log into their stats & click on Program Details to see this information. Unlimited rebills says:

Yeah 99 sounds like a good number and true most credit cards don't even last that long, but when they say "Earn 60% on each sale and rebill... forever." It's more or less the principle of the matter.

Good job exposing that shit, I hate rip offs.

There are affiliate sites, forums, and shit all over, you should post it all around.

If you get a chance let the adult customers at http://www.dwhs.com know about it on the site there.

Good luck man, :thumbsup

NOTE THOUGH: this account shows a rebill on 22nd Dec 2005, so unless it was changed in the past couple of weeks it may be a reporting error.

Murderous 01-05-2006 11:19 PM

Is it too late for a sig?

I checked all my accounts with ccbill last time this came up and a few times regularly. I have not checked the more recent sponsors I have joined with though, so I will do that. (none of the ones mentioned however.

These are the times where I wish there was some sort of website that kept track of all these sponsors. It`s pretty hard to remember all these sponsor names...
There`s an idea for you all.

Spankys Teens 01-05-2006 11:30 PM

Guys, that bollocks about Ron Harris as far as I can see i've had rebills......
Maybe it's just an old description. Ccbill also makes mistakes.
Anyways, wouldn't it be a better idea just to ask them instead of flaming them and causing drama.
i'm sure other guys have had rebills before.
Ron Harris just doesn't seem to me as being the standard scam artist.
Don't get me wrong, i don't have anything to do with them besides promoting.

but i am gonna ask them and see what they say.

gornyhuy 01-05-2006 11:38 PM

Important Question: Was the discrepancy there when you signed up, or did they change it after the fact?

Yes it's true, other webmaster that I know have had rebills, but why would one guys information say unlimited, while another says Zero?

CCbill's mistakes? I don't see how CCBill could have so many fuck ups throught-out their entire syste, but I will call CCBill tomorrow when I wake up and see what they have to say. If it's a mistake on their part, I'll openly admit that I was wrong, and personally write an e-mail to each and everyone that I posted telling them I was wrong.

Oh and I wasn't trying to flame anyone or cause any drama. I was just trying to let my fellow webmasters know how some affiliates, that they could be using, may be scamming them out of the money they worked hard for.

I don't ever remember having something different than what an affiliate advertised when I signed up with them.

CCBill tech support just told me that when I move you to a new group (I have a group called "webmasters") it will show the payouts you are seeing unless I hit the "update group" button. Even so, your payouts are still correct even if displayed improperly.
Paul in tech support is the supervisor I dealt with. He assures me that if you look at your transaction reports you'll see the rebills even if the page you are looking at is incorrectly displayed.
Maybe it is just an :error

I should add that these :error s are getting old-- How many years has this been going on?

seven 01-05-2006 11:50 PM

I know he was caught before when ccbill just started displaying PA detail but now how is 99 rebills any bad? most credit cards expire in 3 to 5 years even if it didn't I don't think any member would actually rebill for 8+ years so what's the prob with that other than that he could just set it for unlimited rebills but same difference no?

Dirty F 01-06-2006 12:06 AM

Just like last year. Nothing will change. Everybody will claim its a glitch and people will forget about. Next year we'll have a similar thread, a lot of shouting and then nothing. This will keep happening.

I agree about that one. 99 is no problem.

Fuck that.

When you promote your program as revshare forever, you better have your settings at unlimited. While I agree that there is zero likelyhood of someone rebilling 100 times, that doesn't matter.

Matt 26z 01-06-2006 12:52 AM

It is also possible that a scammy sponsor could turn off rebills for a day here and there and then go back to full rebills.
