Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas Album. I think I was 5.

The next album I bought came maybe 5 years later in 1985... the 2 Live Crew - move Somethin (first release).

Yeah, I have always been as nasty as I wanna be.

Donnie Osmond Too Young. (I was 6)

The first one I bought was Heart Barracuda

Then I got that Columbia record deal and got 16 albums for a PENNY!!!

Readng thru here, it is kinda funny that a lot of people's first albums were Kiss albums. Although they were the masters of marketing back in the 70s.

The first albums I ever got came from a friend who gave me the first 3 Kiss albums (Kiss, Hotter Than Hell, & Dressed to Kill)

The first one I bought was Kiss's Love Gun. I was maybe 7 or 8 then.

My first was Black Sabbath - 'Black Sabbath'
got it on my 11th birthday with birthday money
My uncle took me out to buy something and that is what I wanted, it was wicked stuff.
My mother just about had a shit, she did not want that kind of music in her house
ended up having to leave it at my uncles.

I hope I don't date myself too much there.

Most probably don't know who ELO was

SilentKnight 01-29-2006 12:08 PM

Likely a K-Tel album ('Fantastic Hits' or somethin') - back in early 70s.

Hehe...

You mean Paul McCartney had a band before Wings?! :winkwink:

ELO had some good stuff back then...but I liked the work Jeff Lynne did with Travelin' Wilburys later.

As for the Doobies, they were great until Tom Johnson left the band. I didn't care much for the later band lineups (Michael McDonald, pleeeeeeze! lol). Loved their reunion album 'Cycles' - still crank it up once in awhile here.
