I love working out... it's such a stress reliever for me.

I hit the gym four days a week now and will be going to five as of next week. I alternate with cardio and light weights. My cardio days last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour each session.

Bikini season is just around the corner!! :winkwink:

I love to hit the iron pile, only problem is that I havent been able to in a long while do to some surgies I've had.

Some good advice I can give is to stretch between every set you do! Not only does it feel good but you more than likely won't look like your all bunched up when you get big.

wdforty 01-30-2006 06:36 PM

I do weight training every second day, with 20 mins of cardio. And 40 mins of cardio every other day.

haha, I have those :) They are fun. I wish they had those pole dancing classes in my area, I think that would be a great workout. Maybe I can get a pole installed in my room ;)

When I get down to where I want, I just may try working the pole for real just for the experience, lol.:thumbsup

I go to 24 Hour Fitness and recently joined LVAC as well which is much nicer.

I usually do 5 days a week one hour a day cardio and/or machines/free weights. I try to get each major body part a once a week workout.

Cardio is the hard part. I get bored as shit on the treadmills so do alternate sprint/walk around the track. I much prefer swimming for cardio but the gym pools are always full of Grannies doing aquarobics. Bless their hearts :winkwink:

When I lived in Hawaii I had a permanent eight pack "naturally" from being in the ocean about 20 hours a week having fun in the waves but here in the desert I bust my ass and still have a bit of a spare tire :Oh crap

reynold 01-30-2006 07:33 PM

I used to work out before... work-out sessions usually begin with cardio exercises before proceeding with the harder & more strenuous routines.

But now, I do crunches or sit-ups at least thrice a day and threadmill for at least an hour...

fiddy cheese cake! :winkwink:

WarChild 01-30-2006 07:35 PM

I've been doing 1 hour of weights 3 days a week and 1 hour of cardio 6 days a week. Also controlled diet of less than 200 calories, less than 30 grams of fat and more than 100 grams of protein each day.

Dear God, I hope that was a typo.
200 calories isn't enough for a dog, lol.

GTS Mark 01-30-2006 07:46 PM

I'm playing pick up hockey twice a week and trying to do 45 minutes of cardio at the gym 3 times a week.

I get bored doing weights but I am going to try to get back into the habit.

I hate working out so I don't do it. I got a Dog instead, I take him on a 20 minute fast walk every morning, I may not have abbs but I'm fit and healthy and thats all I need, plus the Dog loves it.

You got that right....as soon as I think I've succeeded, the weights are increased or the torture, um...I mean the training goes to a whole new level.....my trainer told me that feeling like a failure is a way of life.....

I switch between the elliptical and the treadmill and I also do interval training......I found having my iPod helps pass the time....and my trainer is now getting a friend of his to conduct kickboxing classes at my gym, so that will take the place of cardio....soon.

Sam Granger 01-30-2006 10:58 PM

I must go to the gym tonight then and hopefully 3 or 4 other more times this week. I can't get lazy (i've never been fat or overweight but I want to stay healthy). As a kid I use to cycle miles every day. Was out all day long on my bike cycling all over the place. Nowerdays I rarely cycle at all and I don;t want the same to happen with my weight training. But when the summer comes I think I'm going to start cycling more again.

punker barbie 01-30-2006 11:02 PM

i also use to work out 3-4 times a week... then it turned to once a week now i never hit the gym :( *sigh*

Damn :(

You planning on starting again?

abadfish 01-30-2006 11:11 PM

Been working out for a couple months now. Joined a cool 24 hour gym with a friend that's usually always empty. Usually run a mile a day and do weight training. Typically go 4 times a week. I also moved into a third floor apt.... I figured the stairs are a workout in themselves... lol

I've gained a little weight but I'm starting to see more definition and I look better... People keep asking me if I've "lost weight", I haven't.. but I will in time.

Yeah I hear ya..variety and music sure help to keep the motivation. The machines with your own lcd screen to watch TV are cool as well.

There is Mui Thai and BJJ at my gym but at 43, I 'm not sure I have the dedication to commit to either of those. Hell I still have to live with ankle and knee injuries from doing Tae Kwon Do back in college. :error

The Sultan Of Smut 01-31-2006 12:55 AM

I go 3 times a week for sure but sometimes up to 5 times. What I have to work on now is my shitty diet.

ItBurnsWhenIpee 01-31-2006 01:00 AM

I go about 6 times a week, trading off pushing weights one day, pulling the next day. To give each group a rest. But after a while my forearms need some rest too, so I take a day off.
