That's what some people think but it can't be any further from the truth :) All my big folks will be online working at the strangest hours. The bad thing is that they are at the office whereas I'm in the comfort of my home.
When you're that big, you work much harder to maintain it. The ones that may be sipping on margaritas and relaxing are most likely program owners from the beginning of the internet that made their money and now just play cuz they have employees and affiliates BUT even at that, I can tell you they are few and far between. Oh and the only ones I know in the Bahamas are shap & shapette and from what I hear, they work harder than 90% of the folks in the industry - and they find time to post here :)

JuiceMonkey was referring to 500 sales a month but someone doing 500 sales a day will most certainly be on a PPS program - here's why:
500 x $42= $ 21,000.00 (console joins with TB because they'll hit he 350+ joins per period)
Even if your CPA is $ 30 <-- which if you're a PPC guru it's more in the $15-$25 range. But we're being 'realistic'
So less your Costs Per Acquisition of $ 15,000.00 ( $21,000.00 less the $ 15,000.00 = $ 6,000.00)
In other words 500 x $ 12 = $ 6000.00
$6000.00 x 30 days in a month = $ 180,000
$6000.00 x 365 days in a year = $ 2,190,000.00

I'd say people can live very comfortably on that :)

Don't want to contradict you - but if you're good at SEO and it's essentially a 'free listing' - you stand to make alot more via revshare.
Difference is the presentation - if you're promoting the 'low trial' it's not going to retain as well - if you're promoting the values of the site & the benefits of membership, it's different. Also, you have to have the patience to wait for the rebills to grow - if you're looking for fast cash (which is generally the case of the 'new guy in the industry'), this is not the option.

I've seen differences of up to 24% less on PPS as opposed to Revshare (had they chosen revshare) but these people work far more hours than 9-5 anywhere else & they are the exceptions of the industry. Very good exceptions I may add :)

My defenition of super rich is more then a couple million a a year, but i see what you are getting at.

Revshare may be good for free listings but hard for people who buy shitloads of traffic. Waiting months and months to make my profit back is out of the question.

Most definitely, but you aren't starving and struggling at that amount. Also, even if you do that with one sponsor and have a few other things going with others, it gets to be quite a nest if you can keep your lifestyle spending to a decent amount.

Exactly! If you're buying your traffic or doing PPC it becomes expensive and you need to have the bankroll and patience for it and most importantly, you need to know your traffic sources and know them well. Running tests can become expensive.

When I seen this I first thought what a idiot everyone knows revshare is always better in the long run then pps but then later on down the thread i see someone say they dont have time for rebills to roll in to take that profit they need the money now...So what is the real answer? I got rebills going on 2 years worth so nobody can tell me that $35 is better then $300 plus for 1 signup.

But in the case of SEO or ppc campains should a person use the pps method in that case?

Or does it depend on your bank account situation and if you can withstand the wait of the rebills?

BTW who is the biggest ppc campainer out there? I always thought it must be that napster-of-porn dude since i see those ads everywhere.
