Never done installs but if Yahoo and Google start paying 10 cents for every install of their toolbars, or some other company starts paying 10 cents per screensaver installed, I'd go for it.....

If there was nothing to hide, it wouldn't have been done anonymously... :2 cents:

As soon you post something working on GFY you will have 5000 people copying excactly what you are doing.
Out of that amount 4980 will have no clue of what they are doing, 2500 will not make any money and 500 of them will do something that might fuckup their niche. 10 of them will succeed in that.
Ofcourse they do not wish to post all their details :2 cents:

You are going to send malware. I hate MALWARE, SPYWARE,....

klinton 04-09-2006 06:35 AM

who knows....
i'm saying only from my point of view.so as I don't like ANY toolbars and offensive advertising ( ;] ), I just can't imagine how people could consciously like them...

Funny thread especially those who try to justify fucking people over because it's 'legit'. Even more funny are those trying to compare the stuff this guy is downloading to the less harmless and removable stuff out there.

The funniest remarks though, have to be from those that seem to think because you trade in sex you can't have any morals. Truly priceless.

As a final comment on this silly thread it's always interesting how many people confuse 'successful' with 'respected'. The two can be leagues apart.

Its kinda like lumping all types of popups/popunders into one thing - they arent all the same and yet in the last 4 years the adult industry has completely toned down the popups(including programs having to retool to offer no console links etc) because a few adult WMs made a large enough noise - and yet the mainstream internet is loaded with popups and the advertising budgets are in the hundreds of millions for popups over there

As far as Im concerned the adult industry is just continuing its fine tradition of shooting itself in the foot at every turn because a few whiney WMs and surfers might get a little offended - waah fucking waah
It sure has never affected my retention with the surfers Ive been sending to revshare for years

well i have a hard time trusting those install companies. i promoted mediatickets for a while but people were saying how they started redirecting popular sites, etc. so i took them down. anyways, i agree that there are two different kinds of installs. thats why i said some, not all installs effect everyones income. i can't say i've run into a friendly install but then again, i don't go looking for them. most i come across are on tgps and lyrics sites and they either auto install or force install.

as for pop ups, i agree. i don't see what is so wrong with them or why tgps and link lists won't allow them. although unless i am confusing you with someone else your linklist doesn't allow pop ups on submitted sites either.

Furious_Male 04-09-2006 08:11 AM

I have a real nice side business running now cleaning these types of programs from peoples PCs. Thanks guys.

You are correct - and it has to do with an agreement I made 6 years ago with a few others involved in the free site biz and I will not break my committment to them - although I will tell you that I make my own free sites as well for my LL/Hubs/SE sites that I can guarantee you have popups - and they work fantastic! :)

That's why I said 5¢ to $1 per. I dont' want to mislead so to be honest, 90% of all deals are averaged at 25¢ per US/CA download.

What we will do is create a custom package installer for your users. Based on what you want to offer in your installer to your users, you will be paid for. So if you feel that any one or multple applications are too much, toolbar or not, we can remove them and pay you less any app removed. Or you can take all of them together, which work very smoothly together, and IF, I say IF, the users convert well, you can be paid as high as $1 per complete installation. You get full live login on your stats, country break down on what your installs %'s are and total daily revenue all at you finger tips 24/7.

Run the numbers. Think if you could get 1000 installs a day at a full $1 (we have many affiliates that do). That's good money for the month to ad to your bottomline revenue. No matter who you are!

Actually the last thread I remember on WMW (Im not gonna link it) was split in half about along the same lines as it is in this discussion - and I can remember many discussions in some forums there ranging from the ethics to the business sides and actually I believe the WMs advocating the non-forced installs were the most prolific in those threads
