I'm amazed at how many people don't count their change. I wonder how many times you haven't been given back the full amount you should of had.

Jill_J 06-01-2006 09:47 AM

surely give back

Nope but it was okay because I went and got a job at the cinema down the road which was the best teenage job I had. I did that until and during college and the best part was when one of the supervisors from the CVS job started working there but this time around I was her boss ;)

I'd imagine over the long haul it would even out.

I never count coins - but bills, yes.

SgtStrider 06-01-2006 11:47 AM

I suppose. My dad just had no faith in anyone doing math correctly so he taught me to count my change.

ContentSHOOTER 06-01-2006 01:03 PM

I would hand it back to them...

ssp 06-01-2006 01:09 PM

I never count my change but I don't think you'd be doing somebody a favour by giving money back. People have to learn the hard way or they'll continue to fuck up their stupidly simply jobs.

You give the money back: cashier will shruk and forget about it.
You don't give the money back: cashier will feel it in their own pocket and never do it again.

But I guess ignorance is bliss. That's why I can't be arsed counting the money. I pay by card most of the times anyways.

sweetME 06-01-2006 01:17 PM

Happened to me a lot...always returned extra

shermo 06-01-2006 01:18 PM

Give it back. I don't need handouts, and I've been a cashier before that gave too much change... The results generally lead to that cashier being written up or fired. Not good... Especially as a kid in college.

Vitasoy 06-01-2006 08:18 PM

Depends on the situation I am at(that's if I actually count it).. usually give it

not cool to steal period, and definitely not from people who are working to make ends' meat in fast food et al.

Right! :thumbsup :pimp :thumbsup

gandalfuy 06-02-2006 12:15 AM

betabomb 06-02-2006 12:28 AM

The Lord gives in misterious ways

Damian_Maxcash 06-02-2006 01:14 AM

I dont count it either - If I did notice I would give it back - but I wouldnt be making any special trips if I only noticed it later.

vanniety 06-02-2006 01:27 AM

i dont count my change very often but whenever i know that my change is more than i should have.. i'm more than glad to give it back

nancycash 06-02-2006 06:54 AM

I always give it back as I think:
if I won't do it, I'll lose more.
