give the extra back... I have enough troubles to deal with. I don't need the bad karma of doing something petty like keeping extra change.

I give it back. many times I get the wrong amount when dealing w/ drunk ppl at my bar and I always give it back. Karma is a bitch and I don't want her biting my ass! :)

I always give it back. Most times they look surprised when I do which makes me wonder how many actually return it.

I think it just depends on the store, but yes typically it comes out of the employees pocket if the register doesn't match the receipts

I'm amazed at how many people don't count their change. I wonder how many times you haven't been given back the full amount you should of had.

Nope but it was okay because I went and got a job at the cinema down the road which was the best teenage job I had. I did that until and during college and the best part was when one of the supervisors from the CVS job started working there but this time around I was her boss ;)

Actually, i hope people do give it back because whenever i'm put on tills in my part-time job i have a tendancy to mess up... all the damn time.

I never count my change but I don't think you'd be doing somebody a favour by giving money back. People have to learn the hard way or they'll continue to fuck up their stupidly simply jobs.

You give the money back: cashier will shruk and forget about it.
You don't give the money back: cashier will feel it in their own pocket and never do it again.

But I guess ignorance is bliss. That's why I can't be arsed counting the money. I pay by card most of the times anyways.

Give it back. I don't need handouts, and I've been a cashier before that gave too much change... The results generally lead to that cashier being written up or fired. Not good... Especially as a kid in college.

I dont count it either - If I did notice I would give it back - but I wouldnt be making any special trips if I only noticed it later.

i dont count my change very often but whenever i know that my change is more than i should have.. i'm more than glad to give it back
