Anyway, "drew when looking it as inspiration" my ass, he simply took that image and from there took the shape or whatever and then made the gesture. I can't make zilch with Photoshop, but even a dumbster like me knows that trick. The moral of the story is that you're putting in risk the one that might pay you (ie ninavain) since she'd get a C&D or even be sued just because you're stealing content. If you choose to do this, you MUST say "I took this image from ....., is that OK?" And then is ninavain's choice if she wants to go on with that. And don't come with bullshit, you know you're in the wrong

If it was exactly the same image then yes it would be bad.. This actually proves my point.. Its obviously not the exact image or even a trace... But its a drawing inspired by.

All this proves is that he is very good at drawing while viewing a picture.. While this was poor judgement I dont see a real problem here.

man, that's a 100% EXACT trace, even the hands, no matter how he changed the forearms angle are the same, or do you want me to also prove they're traced as well? Do yo know why your drawing has those strange fingers? Because your employee didn't found a bigger image to do the trace from, so the fingers look sharp, but he did another serious and obvious mistake: he left a loose black outline corresponding to the other hand's thumb. In your AFTER BEING EXPOSED "how I did it" image, there's no loose line, so how the fuck did you made the logo with that loose line since by YOUR OWN WORDS your guy made the drawing from scratch?

Another thing, that "layer" thing only proves he did a trace as I pointed. and no matter how many turns you take, it's 100% impossible to copy a drawing by hand and make it coincide in each and every pixel

Seriously, you shouldn't even have been done this for a start, but once you did it, the smartest thing would be to shut the fuck up and take the image offline instead of playing smart ass, calling names and adding fuel to the fire

One more thing I'll say in his defense because he is my friend.. No one said he didnt make a picture like the image.. Or deny it was where it came from. Its just a mock up of what it can look like.. Not nescasarily the actual final product. Also another ad in this thread is also very similar to something I know of.. I wont mention it, but this is very common practice especially when someone is just making an example of a possible direction to make an ad.

Get a clue and drop it your point is noted you think what you want.. The moprh is very deceiving and isnt using the original picture exactly as it was drawn, someone really wanted to make him look bad I guess so their buddy could win.
