small paysite

Definately small paysite!
|
Why don't you make a small paysite AND a premium AVS site?
I'm a fan of trying every way possible when you do a new thing, because you don't know which option you'd feel confortable with. Just name them differently and have another design done. Maybe it's a bad idea, but, hey, it's just me... |
For all of you that keeping saying AVS is dead you need to get that out of your head. AVS is not dead. Hit me up if you want to get started on one or boost up some older ones you may have.

But on this case, I have the content myself. :) |

Do I get paid every month even when the surfer signs up for a 1 Year Pass? |
Imo I'd create a premium avs site for testing/tweeking then progress it into a small paysite.
As others have mentioned above most AVS sites have stricter rules about the amount of offsite links you can use. Also factoring in if they allow exit/popunder marketing, you can start to see the advantages of a paysite. -N |

CyberAge more or less gives you money..click bonus, the platinum pot share, etc. I don't work for them at all and you may notice I never give my ref code when I mention them. They have simply been the one sponsor that has sent me a check every two weeks for four years and every check gets bigger. Some of the rebills I get are for sites put into their system years ago. |
i read all your post's .. i am starting my small paysite :D

50..........

I've done all of em, from AVS with exclusive content to video AVS & then small paysites. AVS was a great way to test out the market for different niches & learn what would work & not work. THen it was time to move to paysites to build brand & following.
|
I would say AVS (AEN to be exact) - why ? hmm we start promoting our small avs sites...and now we own an AEN.
I m ok to chat with you if you have any questions about AVS. |
I've tried Cyberage on and off several times but the conversions just weren't that great for me. Granted, when you do get some conversions the rebills are nice but doesn't make up for the lower conversions. I'd like to see an article or something maybe on how to get better conversions with Cyberage.
|
Most AVS articles are out of date. The thing to do is find two or three niches and break them down into as many micro niches as you can and own them on the AVSes. You have to promote them as you would a paysite and really work those niches and the conversions will happen. You only need 200 pics to start so that makes it easier to play around and find which niche works best for you and then don't stop until you have covered every side of it.

After reading all replies I decided to start with an AVS and after I see it's working well I'll change to Paysite.
I only have to choose which AVS to use. |
People keep forgetting the most important thing..the DOMAIN....
Back when I was just a secretary posting pics of hoes in yahoo clubs, I bought my domain to watermark and "brand" my style and pics...Even when I knew NOTHING, I knew the value of branding. My domain used to be forwarded to a geocities site...I also had a proadult site...One thing I knew is that I could take my surfers with me no matter what I decided to do. If I had cash like Tranza, I'd just go with the paysite and throw up ccbill and just work on making it grow. I bet tranza could afford the visa fee. If you decide to go with AVS, go with proadult...you always get the 'voyeurweb/redclouds' connection and you can work in their system to get traffic to the site...But then you'll outgrow an AVS and have to go with a paysite...Then you'll have to keep a proadult link to your members area for years and years...It's just better to get a good 3rd party biller or merchant acccount and build your rebills for yourself from day one.. Plus a lot of the premium AVS options don't allow advertising of outside sites which blows.. |

I'll use a domain of mine. Pretty much all AVS out there are cool with that. I'll watermark every single picture of mine. :) |
I voted on a small paysite

Very Simple to decide and this will go with any route you choose.
You will make the most money with the site you put the most time in. Bottom Line. |

If a surfer signs up for a 2 year pass, I'll get paid $26.95 on the first month PLUS $10 a month every other month??? How can you do this charging him just a 1 time annual fee? |
Well I started AVS site (see sig) - using DeluxePass you can open it for affiliates as well (I did)
What are the advanatges - well, DeluxePass gives their members about 10 000 Gigs of downloadable porn movies which means GREAT retention, for you to achieve the same with a small paysite is impossible. Another good thing is that you have your own domain (if the shit hits the fan you can always bail out), you don't have to worry about hosting, hotlink protection, etc, they take care of all that. All in all it is probably better to start a paysite though (I'll prob. be doing this at the end of the year - like start whatevercash..) since you're 100% in control, but you have to make sure that this is what you want to spend most of your time on, also starting your paysite will cost you at least 10 times more |
