How is this so far.
0. Quality Sites with great content/ variety of niches. 1. Weekly payouts with options of payment, check, wire, epass, etc. 2. Use NATS 3. Alternative billing methods other then ccbill/ epoch. 4. pps and revshare. incentives for affiliates who send lots of sales. 5. Great Support - ICQ 24/7 / weekly mail updates, fast email replies. 6. Easy Simple to use affiliate area. Easy linking and linking flexability. 7. Promos and signup pages that are updated on a regular basis, and a nice variety to choose from. 8. free hosted everything (sites, TGP, zip files for content to make your own gals, etc..) 9. RSS / XML feeds for blogs. 10. Provide affiliates premium advertising tools, like submitters, etc. 11. Affiliate forum/feedback area. 12. No Bullshit contest / prizes give that money back to the people who get the signups. 13. Free members access to affiliates who send more then 20 joins. 14. Top 100 affiliate list (no names). |
Easy to use webmaster area: Link codes are easy to generate, stats are clean and straightforward, can be accessed for any date range and show referring urls, campaign tracking, etc... (personally I like NATS but whatever). No porn necessary on the webmaster backend, I hate that shit, makes it a pain checking stats at the airport or wherever.
Webmaster defineable pricepoints: I like the programs doing this, letting you choose between $1/$4.95/full month links or whatever depending on your traffic. Weekly payouts with little delay (programs that pay out a month behind really bother me... 2 weeks is reasonable). Support who gets back to you quickly, especially in regards to accounting/payout issues. Tracking: Both cookies and html link tracking, cookies should be set for a decent amount of time (no 1 day bullshit), although no need for 6 months (If the surfer is returning in 6 months obviously the affiliate didn't do a very good selling job in the first place). No need for contests, pictures of ferraris, naked girls, names with "bucks" or "cash" etc... Just provide a program that makes money :) |

Wow I am surprised at how many people feel the same way that I do about contest/free gifts shit. As previous posted i think contest are just marketing ploys that the sponsor uses to try to attrach new people (noobs mostly), at the expense of the affiliates that are actually make the site the money. Say site xyz gives away a Hummer, cost about 60K. Some bumb who sends 2 sales a week wins it. Now that 60K could have been given back in the form of higher payouts. So the guy who sends in 100 signups a week gets nothing and some bumb gets rewarded with a 60K hummer for sending in 2 signups a week. Way to take care of the affiliates that take care of you. |
forsure weekly payouts + 100$ bonus for every 5th sale :)

I think this thread has some good ideas in it. I wonder if sponsor owners are taking notes or just laughing at us silly affiliates, what the hell do we know, we are nobody. :winkwink: |

I don't think they are laughing, but I do know that Sponsors and Affiliates existed way before this thread and everyone's made a TON of money. However this thread is useful. |

i dont think everyone has made a ton of money. most of the site owners here thnk that affiliates need them, they think the affiliates are stupid.... and the affiliates are the ones making these guys rich. It's sad :Oh crap |

bump for 50 more great replies.....
thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. Anyone have any likes/dislikes in regards to tours ? |

I hate tours with little to no sales text and only a few buttons saying "instant access", always makes me wonder how the surfers find the join page to begin with. More descriptive text, more links to join page. |
Hey Will, hmm, the only thing I want is for the program to have a good backend. I don't need many tools, I don't use many of the tools sponsors offer, but I do like my revshare with a sponsor that has a good rebill rate.
|
Would it be fair to say your program won't be having any contests?
