Alex, I think you're going off the deep end here a little.
I don't think Wiredguy has solicited for busines in a very very long time. If you were just assuming he did, let it drop.

Regardless, common courtesy would be to be sure he's "ignoring" you before bringing it to the boards.

Also, he has stated it a few times that he won't train future competition *Some even has that statement in their sig* - but I guess good opportunities can always make you reassess your decision.

I agree with that!

It took me some time to figure out who you were talking about at first because I usually am rather courteous in my business proceedings. First off, it says right on our website twice (on the contact and consulting pages) that we are not taking new clients, see the quotes below:

Quote:

NOTICE: AT THIS TIME WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING CLIENTS ON AN INVITE BASIS ONLY. WE REGRET ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE BUT THIS ACTION IS NECESSARY TO CONTINUE PROVIDING OUR LEVEL OF SERVICE FOR OUR EXISTING CLIENT BASE. THE CONSULTING REQUEST FORM WILL RETURN ONCE THIS REQUIREMENT IS DISCONTINUED.
Next, the person who initially icq'd me was rather rude about his way of soliciting business with a message like this:

Quote:

6/22/06 7:35PM who i gotta blow to get you to work with me on SE?
Fine, you ignore my website and ICQ me directly, I'll reply to that in which I did say that I work on an invitation basis. I was hoping that was the end of it, but apparently I was wrong as every few days I got emails and ICQ's. Most of which are addressed to Michael. If you're going to have an aggressive sales pitch, take a minute to learn my name and read the site.

So, your friend doesn't even know my name, continously spams my ICQ (don't bother ICQ'ing me anymore, he's on my ignore list now) and email and refuses to take no. I'm sorry, but my patience has run dry. I get at least 5-8 people a day asking for traffic and to look at their sites that I don't have the time to keep saying no means no. You can tell your friend to find another SEO, I prefer to work with clients who aren't so needy or desperate.

And lastly, to address your common courteousy question, I treat all my clients with the upmost respect. I'm probably the only affiliate in this business who goes out of their way to sincerely thank the sponsors, clients and regularly send gifts and appreciations. Now I'm sorry that you don't see that, but ask anyone who I actually work with and I'm sure they'd back up this side of me. There's a reason I only take clients on an invite basis, its to treat them with the best level of service and respect possible.

Regards,
Charles (<-- You can pass that to him as he apparently doesn't know my name still)

I receive plenty of emails and icq for both adult and mainstream business and I can confidently say I respond to all of them even if it is to say thanks for the inquiry but I'm not interested at this time. Try contacting me in X number of months. It goes a long way with people.

Can I forward my emails requesting stuff I never expressed an interest in to you?

What's worse, is the 7 AM phone calls from people seeking "partnerships." Waking me up is pretty much a guaranteed way to make me not interested.

Where were your business ethics when you made threads like these: http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=616350

Quite the irony taking lessons in ethics from you Trey. And thanks for your concern but after doing this for 8 years, I'm pretty grounded that I'm not too concerned about things falling apart.

Holly 07-05-2006 02:19 PM

Damn, Michael's getting pretty sassy.

I like it. :pimp

lesbodojo 07-05-2006 02:37 PM

You need to show some respect. WiredGuy has always been highly professional, informative, and savvy. Every time I've talked to him, it's been a pleasure.

Quick Buck 07-05-2006 02:41 PM

Then the weekly, "how come you haven't reciprocated yet?" emails.

I imagine he gets tired of that crap too. If he isn't soliciting the business, does he really have an obligation to respond to everyone?

Myabe he should just set up an auto responder with a form letter saying "not interested." Would that make you feel better?

Answering to people is a must dude... Business 101.

You can just pre-write an email you will send to everybody explaining the situation instead of ignoring them. One day one of theses dude might become big .

When it gets to the point that answering to non-solicited emails from people that are not clients gets in the way of taking care of your clients, I have to disagree.

My standard response to the incessant people that keep emailing back is "take a hint."

RRRED 07-05-2006 02:50 PM

I'm needy and desperate... Will you still do biz with me? :winkwink:

Cory W 07-05-2006 02:51 PM

Charles always sends Weg Christmas gifts.

He has also seen me naked.

I am really not sure how the above items are related and whether or not they really help this thread.

nah i think the only thing you are concerned with is what aff rep is going to have to take one for the team and fuck you at the conventions.

like jen or laura lee or whever else can stand to look at you in a room alone with them.

and charlie.. the day i practive my business skills like i act on GFY i will gladly step down and kill myself.

clearly i dont run things like i do on this little forum.

stick to escorts and aff reps and seo spamming. you ARE good at that.

I love the common comment made by those that can't seem to get the results they want. Blame it in SEO spammers.
