Congratulations Jace.... I am happy it was successful for you. All of my friends that have had it LOVE the results. I'm ultra creeped out by anything to do with my eyes.

Evil Chris 07-20-2006 08:15 AM

Thanks for posting Jace.
I have been considering lasik for a few years now. Everyone I've talked to who has had it done say they feel awesome and no regrets at all. "Best thing I ever had done" is what I keep hearing over and over.

My vision is -5.25 in each eye and I'm told that I am (like you were) a perfect candidate for lasik. Maybe I'll get it done one day.

Research who is doing it before you get it done
Here a celebrity had a disaster with it

I wish I could say the same.

LASIK was the best thing I've ever done. Takes about 6 minutes total to get perfect vision. For anyone who's thinking about doing it -- DO IT! Just make sure you go to good LASIK center. Don't go to the cheap ones.

yeah, I did...the guy that did mine has done over 25,000 procedures with a 99.9% success rate...not sure who the 0.01% was though. haha

I can imagine that 25,000 is way more though, cause while I was there for 2 hours he did 4 other people other than mine, and if he is doing 8-10 a day, he is racking up the success stories

that took a total of 8 seconds...in fact, the doc counted down as soon as the suction went on, which was helpful

Hey Lars, what stock should I invest in these days?

I only have some IIP now..

OG LennyT 07-20-2006 10:18 AM

my mom got it done and loves it!

I've been wearing glasses since 5th grade and one day I will muster the courage to get it done.

Thanks for the feedback

Any problem with night vision? My mom had it done and she saw a halo around lights for awhile when driving at night.

yeah man....lots of halos...around everything...day and night

the worst thing I am noticing so far though, is if I go outside without sunglasses, when I come back in after being in bright sunlight for a while, I can't see shit inside, it takes forever for my eyes to adjust

they say that can take up to a week or so to go away

bknoob 07-20-2006 11:10 AM

I have wanted lasik so bad since it came out but too bad I have Amblyopia (lazy eye) and I heard it can't be done :(

Is it ok for you to stare at a computer screen the day after the surgery?

i just got there Friday for a second exam, i needed to let my eye breath for 2 weeks cause i wear my contact lenses for 2 year straight. Now they told me i need to wear my old glasses another month to be sure that my eyes are healty again before the surgery.

i'm -5.75 and -7.5 . I cant have the regular Lasik by about .5 of a point.

So it's going to cost me 3500$ for both eyes and i need to suffer another month wearing those old glassers that i hate so much.

Happy for your eyes Jace, can waith to have mine done.
