And some of the missiles are originating from residential areas hence the return fire and some of the civilian causalities.

You're wrong. Typical mistake though. Hezbollah, an extremist group in Lebanon apparently kidnapped 2 israeli soldiers, NOT LEBANON.

If Lebanon is pleading for help from the international community, including help getting rid of Hezbollah.. why can't it be given?

Maybe no one really wants to help Lebanon at all. Maybe they just want an escalation to create a stronger excuse to attack Syria and Iran and perpetuate an endless cycle of hate and more blood spilled.

Friday, I'm not the PM of Israel.. but if I were I wouldn't feel the need to rush in and just blow things up. I'd consult with the international community, mainly my strongest allies and consider their suggestions. The US, UK, UN, etc.. are saying to be mindful of the consequences, and attempt diplomacy first.

Personally? It's not my business. Apart from trash in media, I know nothing about the actual situation on the ground - nor have I one clue of what may be possible. Neither do you.

One thing at base level is - there is no point ranting on about either Israel or Lebanon being evil or terrorists blah - that's just the usual US spewage and not in any way helpful.

Also note, apart from, obviously Israel and the US, - there are only about four countries who consider Hezbollah to be a terrorist organisation. Others refuse or have reservations on defining this - for obvious reasons.

The Israelis beef is with Hezbollah right ?

Why punish the innocent in Lebanon with war ? In the long run with the amount of civilians who have died already is that not just going to drum up MORE support for Hezbollah ? Mainly from the innocent civilians who have had family killed ?

The problem is that the main part of the Lebanese population support Hizb-Allah and wish Israel to be wiped out of the map, even that they are not active members of the terrorist organization, this is the truth. I knew many lebanese ppl and they hate Israel to death. The Lebanese government never-ever said anything against Hizb-Allah and terrorism.

Now try to figure out how to deal with this kind of situation, if you were in Israel, under continuous deadly threat, with your neighbours wishing your country and you to be wipe out off the face of earth, denying your right to live.

I'm going to read up on the history of it all now, If thats true (and I see no reason why it would not be) then its an impossible situation, I could understand how working with the Lebanese government would achieve nothing in trying to combat Hizb-Allah :Oh crap
