Im not an anti-semite, however i do want to smack the piss out of those guys with the silly hair cuts and curls by their ears. I wish chicks would have those things.. It would make face fucking them a whole lot eaiser.

As far as the war goes, i think israel is justified.

Regarding the fact that we lost the war, I have nothing against it - we payed for that, and we payed it big time. BUt history tends to repeat itself.

Moving back to Israel - they start to piss Europe off and when they loose the EU support they will have problems. You can look at the problem in any way you want - the war in Lebanon is wrong and has nothing to do with kidnapped soldiers but with stealing land from other people to move the israeli colonists there. The day US stops being a superpower is the day when Israel is doomed.

And BTW that war costs Israel a lot of money to get some rocky land - so soon Israel will be a 3rd world country. The only thing they beat the fellow muslims is weapons - which are developed with US. The day Iran gets nukes will be a sad day for Israel because they won;t be able to blackmail the muslims with nuclear missiles ;).

And I'm no expert by any means, still reading and researching, but from what I have been reading... Israel pulled out of both Lebanon and Gaza (by good-will or force, thats a totally different argument) and the militant groups continued to attack.

minerals maybe ? boxite, iron ore etc , the whole area is a goldmine of resources. so is iraq, theres alot more than just oil under the sand :)

but i dont think thats why israel wants to be in lebanon , they want to be in lebanon because they are trying to ethnic cleanse themselves a border , but of course that will never work. all they are doing is breeding more hatred.

In 20 years the children of the handfull of jews killed will be nutjob radicals , and likewise the children of the hundreds of lebanese killed will also be radical nutjobs.. the problem is israel doesnt seem to be very good at math because they are creating 10 times the radicals on the "enemy" as they are themselves .. but then again they dont seem to be the smartest army in the world. after the original 2 soldiers were kidnapped they drove a troop full of idf soldiers over a known landmine field. It wouldn't suprise me to learn they did it on purpose to have a reason to start the war by upping the body count

What signs have they shown that they want any occupation? The buffer zone doesn't count.

The only thing I can see of importance would be if America/Israel wanted control of the whole Lebanese & Syria coastal region due to its strategical importance in the region. Other than that I don't know, I don't think Lebanon has much oil, although I suppose perhaps its just about the Land in the southern part of Lebanon
