Google stays away from anything that could be possibly pedo-related. Unfortunately anything teeny falls into that category very often. The have a better safe then sorry policy there. It's a pain in the ass to work with google lately anyway.

Anyone who are using the word "girl" or "girls" in their ads better enjoy the google traffic :thumbsup

Type in GIRLS GONE WILD and guess what their ad appears. Funny how that works. I guess if you spend MILLIONS with Google then "teen porn concepts" are ok.

scottybuzz 09-12-2006 02:41 AM

that sucks.

Looks like it is still the same with google the "big spenders" have no rules not the first time I read this :(

Yep, I just got fucked hard. My ass hurt so much I had to add lube to my website in order to ease the pain.

I hate when they just do this out of the thin air. No warnings what so ever.

It might have been around for sometime. I changed my ads yesterday and when editorial review came around, that is when I got nabbed. If you can don't change your ad and you will last longer.

Zuss 09-14-2006 06:49 AM

I just tried to get a new ad approved, in a campaign which is already approved. So I thought it would be no big deal. I just changed ONE word in keywords and adtext (changed it to "Asian")....

guess what happend? All ads and keywords DISAPPROVED because of teenporn concepts.

Yeah, all asians look like teens. Cool beans.

Fact: Google doesn't allow webmasters to advertise porn AT ALL!

..but it might slip though if you get lucky....

i would never spend money on google advertising. you can do that shit, unless you learn how to promote your websites on your own...

Nikki_Licks 09-14-2006 07:19 AM

You can no longer mention teens, boys, girls and such. We ran into this problem with a catagory that was labeled Teens.
What strikes me funny, is that all existing sites or ads that contain these words or referances prior to the new changes will be allowed to stay, but if you make any changes to your site and it has to be reviewed, you will get nailed or suspended until the corrections are made.
Just another hoop to jump through....:winkwink:

If your landing page/destination URL has "teen" words on it, they will do the same thing.

I'd bet your edit triggered the review, which then led to them finding a word they dont like anymore.

A little harsh on NoCarrier Scott (SleazyDream). People get banned quick for CP comments about others here. Ya, I know you two are the best of buddies, but still.
