Rudeness is a clear form of unprofessionalism and sore lack of social skills. You should put them at their place.

Tell that to NastyDollars. They are the exception, not the rule, but they are an example of a product selling itself.

You know, we do designs. (Ok, you might not know) But I don't think I've ever answered a post soliciting for designers. Maybe once or twice.
But in general I consider it a waste of time. It's desperate times for designers so no wonder every one of them is all over you. For us, it's much more simple to keep it inhouse and only work with existing clients and new ones we get off word-of-mouth, instead of having to prostitute ourselfs on a chatboard to get work.

Anyway, don't get mad at whomever keeps bugging you. You asked for it. And they're desperate. So either 1) don't use the boards to find them or 2) live with the flashing icq windows.

:)

lol ya. i had a guy the other day on icq askin me to send more joins to his program, and i was preparing to do so, till i saw him totally out of line on gfy being rude (about me) about something he has no fuckin clue on. after that, i dropped all interest in the company he works for.

heres a hint for the retards wanting traffic and joins from affiliates: dont be rude and talk shit about stuff you have no clue on. maybe you'll get more money in your pocket instead of shooting yourself in the foot. fuckin retards.

Did you read the post?

I have no issue with the flashing icq windows.

We have inhouse as well, I like giving others a shot at our spill-over work. I like fresh ideas.

Or maybe this industry just really attracts lowlifes and people who are justed socially inept. Sigh.

I once dealt with this Asian girl webmaster who wanted me to review sites. There must be something wrong with the ICQ that I didn't get her message across. We were just fine a few minutes ago and then suddenly she was this royal bitch who brow beating me when I didn't get her message. Whatta c**t!

My pet peeve is when people add you to their contact list without including information as to who they are. If I don't know you and your only name is "John696943" then no, I'm not going to add you. Then they keep sending the same request 10 times until I give up and accept....

and immediately put them on "ignore."

Most inexperienced salespeople were never taught that what you are really selling, no matter what the product, is yourself. If you can't sell yourself then you have no reason to be in a sales position.

If you can't hire someone that has had the training or succcessful sales track record to handle that part of the business for you then you better brush up on your social skills and basically practice common courtesy.

You will find in this industry that you will "Get What You Give". People here will definitely call you out in a heartbeat if you piss them off... and that is a good thing. In most business situations it's your reputation that proceeds you and it is the determining factor as to whether someone will actually take the time to even talk with you much less do business with you.

Here are two sales secrets that if learned and practiced will serve you well...

"Everyone loves to Buy but nobody wants to be Sold."

"In sales the answer should ALWAYS be NO! Either No Problem or No Thank You."

Yeah sure, I read it.
Just trying to enlighten you on why they are rude. Quite simple, they are desperate and want the job.
Some are rude out of desperation. They know they are competing with 40 other guys so the longer it takes for you to get back to them the more desperate they become :)
