I believe, that there are such kids that are not able to stop.
My daughter is not like this - on the contrary, too clever for a kid. But some are a real desaster. It doesn'e depend on the parents.

You can always tell from threads like these who doesn't have kids based on responses. all kids do something on this level at least once. we had a fan sitting by the fireplace that my boy turned on high and then threw soot into it that went blowing everywhere. he emptied out the whole fireplace. it took days to clean the house.

where are the parents when this stuff is going on? you cant watch them like a hawk 24/7. thats something only childless people say, or their kids are still babies.
