i can see 12clicks making the short list of most admired/respected people in the industry, one other person that jumps to mind would be RB. There are many successful people in this industry, but how many of those would somebody actually switch places with (rather than just have their business/cash)...imho

i put a lot of weight into knowledge of history, politics, cultures, wine, music, food, the arts, having charisma/game, athletics/exercise, etc?the balance of many important things

boy, this thread just turned down queerstreet.:winkwink:
I was a young phenom pitcher in little league but gave it up for football (god knows why)
I played softball for about the last 20 years in the top league in the state. I can still hang with the young guys because I'm a home run guy. They don't care if I'm old, fat, and slow as long as I hit.:winkwink:
I played golf for years and was a member of a local club but I was really too busy to play enough so I gave it up for now. I used to do a lot of fishing and bow hunting as well but even set a lot of that aside. I just don't have the time for everything I'd like to do.

selena 09-15-2006 11:14 AM

Of the ones that I have read, this has been my favorite AI.

I look forward to your new ventures in adult. :)

Excellent thread and great answers. Exactly what I expected, this thread does indeed deliver.

Ok Ron, I'll throw a question out to keep this going.

What, besides the upcoming adult program, does your company currently do and what is/are the URL(s) if applicable?

RuthB 09-15-2006 11:36 AM

Great interview!

I don't know you personally (which will hopefully change) but I'm glad I took the time to read this thread, it's been both entertaining and enlightening. You definitely seem like a 'right on' kinda guy! :thumbsup

Good luck with the new program! :pimp

Elli 09-15-2006 11:46 AM

Whenever I know Ron is going to be attending a show, it makes the show experience that much better.

lulu36 09-15-2006 11:52 AM

Thank so much Ron for the great read and entertaining us at your expense. :winkwink: Your ambush page will be up soon. I look forward to meeting you in LA.

Gnat69 09-15-2006 12:00 PM

I have to say that for someone I have never met I may not need to. This interview has restored my faith and that people are not really as nasty as they may seem to be, I learned alot about you and see how your greatly respected you are and I hope to one day bask in your glory....

Great Interview...thanks :winkwink:

well, the mainstream stuff is our banner program and our popup program. Thats really all we're doing online besides some domain parking.
I'd really like to sell that stuff off and focus solely on adult.
we'll see what happens ;)

CDSmith 09-15-2006 12:31 PM

Okay, I've been roasting Ron throughout the thread with the chops and comments, but it's time for a question of my own.

This question is in several parts. :D

QUESTION: Have you ever been to a show or event outside of the USA and Canada? IE: one of the european ones, or down in Mexico, the Caribbean etc.
If so... describe one of your favorite highlights/incidents (name names).
If not... why not?

Last part of the question: In keeping with the whole "being out of the country" theme of the question, what are your thoughts on "going offshore", as in moving one's business (and possibly one's life) in whole or in part to foreign servers and locales, and not just for the typical "run and hide from the US government" reason? Would you or have you ever considered expanding your operation into foriegn markets?

Great Interview...thanks :winkwink:

Yeow!

this is getting to be a down right embarrassment of riches.:winkwink:

OldSchoolJim 09-15-2006 12:41 PM

old school talk is ALWAYS the best talk....

Ron..have you ever spammed or thought of spamming to make some extra change?

way back before ti was considered politically incorrect??

Eservices2k3 09-15-2006 12:46 PM

What the hell, I'll give it another shot. What % of the company do you own? Given the success of the company, even 10% would be substantial.

Oh shit. I didn't know there was more photos!!!

I would suggest that maybe it looks more awkward in stills than it might in video... but we all know the truth so what's the point.

No, I've not gone to any shows outside the US and Canada. As I said, we're not big on traveling to too many shows a year and we always picked the fun ones close to home.
As far as offshore goes, if I were younger and didn't haver the deep roots that I have where I am, I'd definitely consider moving someplace nice and starting there. I could think of an island or two that I'd live to ive on.:winkwink:

nope, I've never had to stoop as low as pimpdog to make a buck.
of course, if I had, I wouldn't then stab the spammers in the back by "discovering" their actions *after* they sent the joins.:1orglaugh

Thanks for the reply!

The reason I asked is because that I notice that those who have been incredibly successful in this business have usually been between the age of 25 - 35.

There seems to be an interesting correlation between that age range and success in this business :)

baddog 09-15-2006 06:27 PM
