I've probably been to more shows than you have :thumbsup I don't think I'd spend my own money to attend these events if I was "pretending" to be in the biz, lol.

I realize your issue - you have to make a decision that someone is lying between two people and it's in your best interest to choose me. I have no problem with that and I understand your reasoning. But acting like I'm not in this business and haven't been for years is beneath you. Don't lower yourself to that level.

I made my choice after watching how the two people in question act.
I made the right choice as one of them continues to come into my threads, uninvited, and bringing nothing but nonsense.

"Your" threads? There are "invites"? Sorry - I thought these were public message boards. My bad. And no nonsense. I was correcting your incorrect information. And I don't lie. :thumbsup

If you want to carry a "Peaches" chip on your shoulder and see everything negatively, that's your decision.

I'll view this as being "uninvited" - Ciao :upsidedow

How old are you now?

How old are you kids? Are they interested in business/entreprenuership(sp) or do you think they will pursue careers in the professions?

Sorry if thse question were already asked, I didn't notice them.

What's your educational background and how important has formal schooling been in who you are and how you run your business.

jonesy 09-14-2006 06:28 PM

after reading this interview so far as well as the banter, one word comes to mind.

Enigma.

carry on.

Ha, another good story.
Yeah, back before we knew him, he showed up at our door out of the blue. The receptionist calls back to my office and says,"theres someone here to see 12clicks"
well, no one just shows up to see 12clicks at our office. I was a bit freaked so I told her to put him in our conferance room. I then told one of our sales guys to go to talk to him see what he wants, and get rid of him.
Only later did I realize who he was, what he did, and how much I liked him.

He's only one of 3 people who ever came to the office. ok, 4. I forgot about Nina Knows Best.

Now, a bit of a story about you.:winkwink:
Back in seacaucus NJ in what, 1999? At the party JoeE (I think) threw, I remember you cornering one of my then partners on a couch. he, sitting, you standing over him. You're smoking a cig with the longest ash I've ever seen about to drop off the cig, my partner caught undernieth, just waiting for it to drop on him.
We were laughing our asses off watching from across the room.
priceless.
Thanks for all the shows over the years.

Hey there, I am glad you feel that way, because I really do TRY!

Seacaucus was our first Internet show in 1998. 2007 will be our 10th Anniversary - and we are still here!! (our demise has been greaty exagerated from time to time) Actually, at that time about the only people in the biz I knew by sight were Mark Tiarra, Allissa, Sammi, Rich Bono, and Lee Noga. Everyone else was just a name on a chatboard. By the time I left, I think I had met just about everyone that was important in the business at that time.

Oh, and you should be hearing from me soon about the business we talked about.

The 10th Anniversary should be back in NJ - NE Coast Still alive and Representing! Been a long time since any large industry gathering has been held up there.

I'm not a big fan of drugs. I've done my share in my youth and have many funny stories to go with it but I just think at some point you out grow it.
Now, booze, now you're speaking my language.
I think booze is a wonderful social lubricant. Absolutely necissary in this business filled with shut in computer geeks.:winkwink: (no offense to the shut in computer geeks)
I've had years of fun around grey goose martinis but we all know I'm a red wine man. In slightly more than moderation, its wonderful. hahaha

Twinks and babes I've had sex with? so far, I'm as pure as driven snow. Ask any women or twink who's been to my dinners if I've ever so much as undressed them with my eyes. :winkwink:
No, the day I wake up with a roofie hang over and a sore ass will be my first.

Amelia, I don't think I've ever seen these pics.

My famous dinners. ok, I guess they are famous because of the good time everyone attending has. Our dinners usually consist of less than 15 people, all of them tops in our industry. The venues have always been fantastic (in a gay way) such as Picasso, Delmonicos, Le Cirque, and Smith&Wollenski's
People polite enough to accept our invitation have been a who's who of the industry. Besides the people already mentioned in this thread, we've had Lensman, Ron Cadwell, Tony Morgan, Botto Brothers, JB, Mike Strouse, Shemp, Gary Kremen, Chris Mallick, Punker Barbie, Three Kisses Marie, KK, Brad Shaw, Lars, Python Aly, Loryn, Butterflied, Pornkings Carol, Jen, and Lisa, Cory, and really a host of others (again, I'll be crucified for forgetting names) but who wouldn't have a good time in that company.

As far as whether its an attempt to buy friends, can you hit these people up and see if its working?

It was our first try at throwing a big shot dinner. Robert and I had somehow arrainged to pic up the tab but I really don't remember us being the organizers of the event. Anyway, its you, the botto brothers, the 4 of us, Tony morgan, and a few others at Picasso and we're going to meet with some hot shot Casino dude who wanted to buy traffic from us.
At the time, the table represented a probably what, 30% reach of the entire internet?
Anyway, he come in late, greats the maitre de by name and tells the waiter to tell the chef (whos name he alos knows) that he's here and that he wants the chef to just make us whatever he wants. he then turns to the waiter and tells him to pick whatever wines he'd like to pair with the dishes the chef serves.
Robert and I look at each other and with our eyes, say to each other,"this is going to cost us a fortune":1orglaugh
The guy proceeds to explain how we can send him traffic and he'll count it by asking the arriving surfer to use a drop down box to explain where he came from.
After about 10 minutes of polite silence by us, I think it was Sweet T who finally interupted him and said something like,"no offense, but you've got over half of the adult net sitting at this table and we have a better way of counting traffic"
it broke the ice and we went on to have a great dinner. Never did business with the casino dude but dinner was fun.

Oh, and remember when they served Bob Botto quail for the main course and he balked? He says to the waiter, "um, I can't eat this. It looks too much like pigeon. I can't eat this"

verey funny night. very great night.

Lars, we need to do dinner again. Its been too long.

Exactly! Everyones food was different not to mention the Cigars and Cognac
that was an amazing dinner, I still remember the dessert I ate is was simply amazing, and the Bellagio had just opened not to much earlier so it was uber hip :) Agreed lets do Dinner again for certain , but this time I get to treat :) I remember sitting at that table looking around and thinking why am I here, but looking back I know its cuzz I was pushing so much frigging golden traffic. I also remember knowing I had arrived and was starting to make a name for myself. I sure miss the Botto Boys and the whole Max Cash Crew they were great to do business with! I believe that was 1998.

These losers build their own consensus with multiple accounts and if left unchecked or unchallenged, you wake up one day with an archive of threads calling you a cheater when its really the work of a couple of former theives who are out to get their pound of flesh for me catching them stealing.

Then you have people like pimpdog who hate me for my popularity and fear my return to adult. Most people can see through his lame "you shave" nonsense but I still enjoy slapping him down.

Then there's the political threads.:winkwink: It really worries me that all these kids firmly believe the shit they spew about conspiracies. I don't mind them but I do worry about them. I see it as an inability to think logically.

As far as having an ego problem. you think I have one? I host a page full of photochops of myself, 90% of which are not flattering.:winkwink:
