So how did you get invited?

Eddie just sunk 300k into some porn, so he had a big party. At first, I was skeptical..."like is this just one of those Hollywood things that he is just going to put his name on and not even be there?"

I hear back, "Nope, he'll be there...it's at his house..."

I didn't believe it till I was in the house and six feet away from me in the living room was Eddie with his shirt off, guitar stapped to him, and coked out of his head.

Thankfully, Billy Idol canceled, so Eddie got up and did like a 30-minute version of Eruption, a Billy Idol song (that he didn't know and just solo-ed over the whole thing), and then 6 or 7 old Van Halen songs...

All in his fucking backyard!

I don't know how much cooler than you can get than that.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I thought 1984 was the last semi-good Van Helen album. After that, they were shit...even though they still sold a lot of records with Sammy (probably even more).
