The customer support emails at my previous employer forwarded me some of the funniest emails ever. Not to mention wav files of these guys on the phones, fucking hilarious. It was a daily thing, as in any office, these guys are totally delusional when it comes to waking up and the realization of their Wild Turkey induced spankfest at the Paysites cost.
He'll eventually be flagged as mentioned. He is lying. Over years it just gets funny. Retards. Hah. |

This would be my response.
Dear Mr. Rice, In response to your email of 'The Date', we have taken note of the transaction and our accounting department will trace and investigate it. Being a responsible company, we will reimburse the amount charged for membership to our site. Should there be any additional bank charges, we feel it is your responsibility to reimburse those fees. Our billing system is in place to collect payment for services AND to prevent minors from accessing our site. Your child, learning disabled or not, broke the law in two occasions. 1) He used a credit card which did not belong to him nor was he authorized to make purchases with it and proceeded to fulfill the transaction, this is credit card fraud. 2) Each time he accessed our site/s, he electronically signs and SWEARS/AFFIRMS that he is over the legal age in his community to access adult oriented material. If we were to take this further, your son Cameron and yourself may be held responsible by leaving him unsupervised at the computer and by giving easy access to a credit card, hence gaining access to a porn website. There are special programs designed to prevent such occurences from happening, CyberPatrol, NetNanny, SurfWatch to name a few. A payment by cheque will be issued to resolve this matter and it will be a full and final payment from our company. We trust this to be to your satisfaction and remain, Sincerely, LightSpeed & Co. |
lol what a longass letter
|
If you choose to go the way of issuing a refund, then Trixxxia's suggestion would be the way to go, most professional I think.
But I still like the "take one for the team" approach, and agree with the reasoning behind it as well. One more chargeback isn't going to make a difference, and if they are scamming you it will soon flush them out. |
Hey dude write him a letter telling him if he disputes it you will be forced to put criminal charges against him and his son for fraud. That should stop it. I did that once and never got the charge back either eh?
|
hehehe.......longass letter cuz LightSpeed doesn't want the credit card company busting chops so he'll reimburse them BUT, he's letting the asshole know that he knows he's on to him. Basically, most people have a hard time getting all the numbers and the info in the right spot to pay with a credit card, how does a learning disabled minor understand the concept of stealing a credit card then filling in all the blanks in the correct spot (in the exact manner it is on the credit card statement) , find the 3 digit code on the back of the card to gain access to a porn site???? I think there are 3 possiblities: 1) Mr. Rice is not the father but the guy who did the purchase and jerked off long enough (or found a girlfriend) 2) Alex is a minor but not learning disable and Cameron told him he better get a refund or pay it back 3) Cameron's dad looked over his credit card statement pulled a fit so he blamed it on his brother who may be learning disabled.
Either way, LightSpeed got screwed over and those guys are jerks. |
Just refund his card to save yourself from the potential chargebacks and don't worry about it. $100 really isn't that much money in the grand scheme of things.
