By the way your profile says Myspace in it did you know that the biggest installer of adware is Myspace. This is where the Think people Think comes in to play. if you do not like Adware you must stop using Google and Yahoo and myspace, plus Cingular phones and dell computers and netflix, because they all advertise on adware.

So because others are doing it, so are you? Is that still the only thing you have to say about your company stealing from affiliates?

Zango IS NOT "adware" idiot.

ICQ is adware.

Xenophage 10-25-2006 08:50 AM

We are not stealing anything from anyone. I think you have been turned into a sheep.

GonZo 10-25-2006 08:53 AM

Lars has money to burn in November!

Xenophage 10-25-2006 08:54 AM

But the good news is record payouts are on the way to our loyal affilaites who are rewarded for sending us traffic with the biggest checks in the industry.

Yes I do and our affilaites are going to be extra happy with their fat checks just in time for the holidays !! 10 years of paying out fat fat cash to thousands of affialites.

Buying pop up ads.

OG LennyT 10-25-2006 08:59 AM

So if I'm reading correctly, Lars is using a 'hes doing it so I can too' defense?

interesting.... I guess he missed class the day they went over business ethics.

carry on sheep.. baaaaaaahhhhh

thats interesting. you didn't take the time to refute any of the posts about this. you didn't take the time to even address the concerns of webmasters sending you traffic... you just call people "sheep" and are now pointing the finger at others which has absolutely NOTHING to do with what happens when YOU buy scumware traffic and affiliates do not get credited for the sale that THEY worked hard to generate and YOU do.

maybe there is just a lot of confusion on the issue.

you can take the time to enlighten everyone and explain the process of how an user infected with zango finds cams.com or AFF?

explain the popups

we'll wait.

obviously no one gets it. you are partly to blame for that because you didn't explain it.

obviously you would want to be the one to explain it to clear the air. i mean you haven't done this yet in the 2 weeks that you have had to do so, so you must be really desperate and anxious at this point to sit down and explain how totally ethical it is.

the adult webmaster world is listening.....

This thread is funny as hell

Affilates: you are ripping us off
Sponsor: So what, send more traffic
Affilates: you are ripping us off
Sponsor: So what, we're rasing payouts
Affilates: you are ripping us off
Sponsor: So what, netflix does it too, send more traffic, did I mention i have a lot of money?

and on and on and on.

So if I send traffic from one of my sites to some cam or dating site and the words in the url of the site I'm sending to fit your target keywords, you should be allowed to pop an ad over the site I have sent the surfer to and have the first go at converting that surfer?

It seems to me, and and lot of other people that I have talked to on this board, that we as affiliates should be allowed to control the traffic we have worked so hard to get and not have it stolen away by someone using browser hijacking.

Ross 10-25-2006 09:07 AM

I still is if the affiliate sent the traffic to one of the AFF sites and AFF pops an ad over the window containing the affiliate ID.

I disagree just like any pop up the surfer can choose to ignore the pop up and continue on surfing where he was at. And if the surfer really does not want any more pop ups they simply uninstall the adware and the pops ups are gone.

We do not pop the same site over the same site, and we use URL Tracking not cookies to determine who gets the sale. Affialites are getting proper credit for all sales. And I might add are quite happy with the huge checks we send out, and will be even happier this month when we up the pay even more.

if only it were that simple. unlike any other pop up add, these ones are not coming from the web site. that is the big difference. its a third party making these pop ups appear, hense the website the surfer is visiting gets nothing from it, and in fact often loses because of it. now surely you can see the difference.

as for uninstalling, i bet 80% of the time surfers think these pop up ads are coming from the websites. do you really think most know that installing these toolbars will do such things? maybe 20% do but most im sure downloaded them in the first place to get something from some misleading website. not because they wanted a stupid toolbar that they could get from google or msn without any pop ups.

Your post makes no sense at all in the context of sales being stolen from affiliates.

Have you ever installed this software ?

They pop a popup occasionally that says hey this is what it is and if youw ant to remove it here are the things for you to do. I dont know how much more clear it can be than that plus every pop up has a bar under it stateing clearly where it is from.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAH!

ok... lets see if we are getting this straight.

1 - hardworking webmaster creates and builds site
2 - hardworking webmaster starts generating traffic
3 - hardworking webmaster sees "105.00 per join", thinks cams.com is great. Lars is wonderful and wants to send the highly ethical Lars traffic
4 - surfers go to webmasters site
5 - surfer has zago installed on his computer
6 - because of the site text/domain and other variables popup windows open on surfers computer
7 - hardworking webmasters affiliate code is not in those popups.
8 - sale goes to cams.com, sexsearch or whoever and webmaster gets no credit for it.
9 - Lars says "its not our fault that the sufer clicked the ad... whats the problem? he had a choice to ignore the ad.. but didn't, which absolves us of any responsibility for what you might percieve as unethical and stealing on our part"

Violetta 10-25-2006 09:26 AM

Right because we are not taking anything from our affilaites.

But we are paying them more mooney than anyone else.

How nice of you to only steal from other sites and their affiliates.

It doesn't really make that much of a difference that you use URL tracking. If your window is on top, then it is very likely that your window will be the one making the sale.

One of the problems is that the surfer does not know that it's Zango that pops the windows. Thus they do not know what to uninstall to get rid of the problem.

I've tried to stay out of this thread. If you don't like the deal with AFF, then don't send them traffic, that simple. Lars, quit repeating "$105PPS", we get it. Admit you were wrong and move on.

See this is just wrong. the surfer has 2 windows open he can close the pop up and continue on and join the site and the affialite gets full credit, or the surfer can subscribe to both sites. Oh and we are talking about one half of 1% of traffic. As long as I raise payouts more than one half of 1 % then the affialite is making more money overall. Oh and look I raise payouts all the time.

So the end result is Our affilaites are making more money than anyone else and you cant stand it.

hahaha really every pop up says Zango on it. very clear and in your face you would ahve to be a total moron not to notice this ad brought to you by zango.

no i haven't installed it but before i got a firewall installed on my pc many times without any consent had adware installed on my pc just by visiting sites and sure enough AFF was one that popped up among others. this was a few years ago but there was nothing saying where it came from or how to get rid of it. apparently things have changed due to the threatening legal landscape BUT>>>

no matter how clear it might be..why do you think its ok to use others content as a means for advertising over top of their own advertising?

You're a bare-faced liar. And your post I quoted actually blames this all on the surfer. After all, if the surfer didn't click the popup then no-one's sales would be stolen.

ATTENTION GFY - LEGENDARY LARS IS CALLING YOU ALL C*NTS
