I remember all the bs emails I would get.

Email 1 would be my standard invoice with methods of payment.

Response: "Send us an invoice"

Email 2: *my response* Here is the invoice you requested including all methods of payment, and information required to make payment.

Response: "What methods of payment do you accept?"

Email 3: "We accept blah blah blah blah blah as methods of payment..." of course I included mailing addresses for checks etc.

Response: "Did you even do the galleries?"

Email 4: "Yes you posted them on GFY."

Finally a payment came...people couldn't believe it when I showed them the emails and responses that came from Joe...and then people wonder why designers don't last long in this biz.

MCP - for the record, based on my own personal experiences, I just want to let you know I believe you. Nobody can do anything to help you, but at least know there's someone out here who believes you. It took a lot of guts to post this. More than I ever would have been able to muster. Perhaps a person or two will learn from it. I doubt it, but one can hope.

Hmmm...since Lensman has posted in other threads tonight, and I would expect at least one person to call/ICQ him regarding this thread, his lack of response speaks volumes, especially as he has been called out by others as well (ErosWebMaster and his holiness Donny Christ).

sure have - and being a designer is a walk in the park compared to being a content producer. design business has its stresses too, every job does but in this industry i'd say the content producer is the least appreciated and rewarded for his contribtution when you consider without him there is no porn industry.

VERY similar thing happened to us.... took us a while to recover as we stupidly put all our eggs in one basket but we are so glad how things turned out for us over the latter part of the year as we are doing better than we had hoped.. maybe we should be glad but we will never make the same mistake again....
